Morning.

Be wary of these companies.

They knew our expected salary but they still invited us for an interview.

Then offered us crappy salary.

Wasting our time and money travellingfor the interview.

G-equity Sdn Bhd...extra info on the crappy/unprofessional interview session.

Read it at my thread; rant.

Let's boycott them.

As for the EKG Network Sdn. Bhd. in Penang (a company which associated with Appco) they find customer to give donations to fundraisers
like Budimas n NKF (National Kidney Foundation).
Donations by credit cards.. 38 per month. no cash money allowed. Not sure how many of that money really going to the fundraisers.
Hope that answers your question.

Woww... I was so surprised when I was directed to this topic after I searched for United Meteoric Group Sdn Bhd which based in JB. I applied for the post of Management Trainee yesterday. This evening I got two missed calls from a number starting with 07-333xxxx. I'm not familiar with this number so I googled 07 and found out it's a johor area code. Then I went to United Meteoric website and check their number it's almost the same.. 07-333xxxx also. After reading ALL the posts in here and the negative comments about United Meteoric, I quickly withdrawn myself from the application in Jobstreet.

Phew..... thanks guys!!! I was saved!!!

Background:

I just started working with a local bank, in IT doing user support.

This is my first experience in the banking sector.

All I can say for now is that it's very oppressive. mad.gif shakehead.gif

For example the official working hours are 8:45 AM to 5:45 PM Mondays to Thursdays. and 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM on Friday.

However, I'm being told that the official working hours are until 6PM, which I see people just surfing for 15 minutes, waiting
for 6 PM doing nothing.

I'm also told that if you work on the weekends, you are not entitled to time off or replacement leave. vmad.gif
You are also not entitled to overtime claims.

I need advice too:

I've worked for a year in a small communications agency. According to my contract;

"An employee is entitled to 14 days annual leave to be activated upon completion of a full year of service"

And so, for one whole year, I worked without annual leave (taking unpaid instead during the festive season).

I recently decided to resign and tendered a 3 month notice (as per my contract).

Here is where the problem starts.

I've been hoping to use my 14 days of annual leave in place of my last two weeks of service. Just to end my suffering earlier.

But now, my admin is telling me that my leave has been pro-rated for the second year, ie, I have to work another full year to get 14 days.

So instead of getting 14 days, I have 2 days of annual leave now (I've served my notice for 1.5 months already).

To sum it up,

I HAVE TO WORK FOR TWO YEARS TO ACTUALLY GET 14 DAYS OF ANNUAL LEAVE !!

It made no sense to me. And I've been told that my boss is even planning to chuck me out earlier (from past experience, he did it without paying any money to compensate such sacking).

My friends are telling me to bring this to the lawyers for better evaluation.

I'm hoping somebody here can advise me as well before I consult the pros.

Hello,

Thanks for your kind attention.

I started on 8/8/2011, confirmed 3 months later and resigned exactly after a year (8/8/2012).

My effective date of resignation is on 8/8/2012 and by serving my 3-month notice, my last day will be on 8/11/2012.

My employer said he followed the international labor law and challenged me to bring it up to the labor court. Can I?

No part of the contract mentioned pro-rating or collecting AL after year of service. At one point he admitted that it might arouse confusion and the contract need to be re-written for future employees. rclxub.gif

p/s: My "pro-rated" annual leave which I have 3 days left have now been withdrawn in place of my 3 days Raya leave which I took in late August this year. So now I have ZERO AL. cry.gif

Hello everyone,

Just to check, has anyone here had any experience dealing with JobSpeed HR Consulting Sdn. Bhd ?

I got an email from them after depositing my resume on Monster.com
I'm having some trouble determining if it's a legitimate email, for several reasons :

1. It was sent from an email address in this way : xxx@jobspeedhr.com via mint16.monster.co.in
2. I was asked to forward my updated resume to them. Isn't the one on the website enough ?
3. There was no signature on the email, indicating the person's full name, position, contact number etc.

So what do you guys think ? Am I being paranoid or is this something to stay away from ?

however i herd from my fren that used to work their before, this company facing alot of problem.
not paying EPF, but deduct from salary every month. commission not being pay.
and even worst this company have not register with JABATAN TENAGA KERJA.
