QUOTE(msblurgirlygirl @ May 9 2013, 05:53 PM) Hello! I'm new here. Was googling on a company after they called me up for an interview next week. Ok so here is my story. I went to Jobstreet and was looking for a job and found a company called: DLJ Trilogy Sdn Bhd Are you a people person looking for an opportunity to gain sales experience or further develop your existing sales skills? DLJ Trilogy Sdn Bhd is a successful sales and marketing company based in Malaysia. This opening will involve dealing directly with residential and business customers on a face to face basis promoting an exciting range of services. Junior Marketing Associates Kuala Lumpur, Selangor Responsibilities: Willing to undergo 8 to 12 months of training commencing from sales management to branch management in order to prepare trainee with adequate exposure to manage expansion for new/existing projects. Will be taught the ability to lead, manage and motivate a team. To assist in daily operational matters such as in project co-ordination, client representation and sales & marketing. Requirements: Candidate must possess at least a Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, any field. Fresh graduates/Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply. 3 Full-Time position(s) available. 3 days later they called me up for interview at some location (didnt catch what he said cuz was quite noisy at my place). I thought I can juz google the location and get most of the info from there. Ended up I cannot find any so I called up the office and ended up the company is actually Appco Group Asia and DLJ Trilogy is part of the group's company. Subsequently 2 minutes later I got an interview invitation from them through email. The email goes like this: As a result of your application for the position of Junior Marketing Associates, I would like to invite you to attend an interview. APPCO GROUP ASIA, LEVEL 18, QUILL 7, NO 9 , JALAN SENTRAL 5, KUALA LUMPUR SENTRAL, 50470 KUALA LUMPUR, KUALA LUMPUR. You will have an interview with the department manager. The interview will last about 30 minutes. Please bring two passport pictures and resume. You think i should just go ahead and attend the interview as a 'look see' experience? I read from all the reviews from LYN members that this company is a scam. |

Ok. I also want to share my experience. After graduated, i tried to figure out a jew field for me..cuz im a law graduate..so i dun wanna do my chambering lagi..just wanna figure out a new thing. So..the journey begin...
I went for interview at 1 company..the compang provide hospitality services for all hospital in malaysia (the company at wisma besta) but im not eligible for the said position. So i was rejected la. Ok la. Thats my first trial. At least i know my ability. 2nd trial : i went 4 interview at Menara Northpoint..in front of midvalley. They advertised the vacancy for Admin Assistant.. So i go for it..attend the interview..but but but..at the advertisement, they didnt mention the company's name. My husband do warned me..beware for the scammers. Ok ok.. I went there. I dont see any technologies in their office.. Only a table.. A few rooms..like a small discussion rooms.. Then..after a few minute..i got a job. Ajaib kan? The person who interview me was totally not good in english cuz when i tried to converse in english with her, she cannot reply me. Ok lah. Shes the boss so i kenot lahh talk bad abt her. The company's name is Dynamic Wise Sdn Bhd. They provided training for a week. Their nature doing an online trading for GOLD. But but but.. I must get an investor who willing to invest 250k..then baru lah i get my salary. Smell fishy rite. They psycho me soooooo teruk.. Waited for me outside of surau..to brainwash me abt how much i can get if one person invest. They make the investment outside malaysia i.e hong kong under goldex group limited. Ok lah. This is not a climax yet. Tiba2..one day..my bestfren asked me a few question abt the company and after i told her everytg..she said..damnn..she worked there before..in the same level..same office.but only different name..but with a same bosses. Previously, she had been forced to resign afta 2weeks working bcuz she didnt get any investor.. Previously, they were doing online trading for Forex..with the company name Podium P....... Sdn Bhd. After i asked my boss abt such question..doing an investigation..my boss do some tricky thing untuk force i for resign. Kalau tidak, sebelum itu bosses ni sangat la baik hati to treat me lunch..breakfast..and ask me to get investor in a nice tone.. But afta all this thing revealed, ive been scolded in phone..just becuz i told her that i want to come to office (the modus operandi is..if i cannot get any investor, dun show my face at office).. So..beware k uollss. My other thread ade di atas which i reply for the question ask by msblurgurgirl |

Nikonian Academy job scam / job fraud for lowyat Net
Company Name: Nikonian Academy in Kota Damansara/ Nearby Sunway Giza (Well-known for people who like photography & cameras) Boss: Andrew Boey Boss's wife: Michelle (also HR & accounts?) Customer/student Negligence: Some ppl paid a lot for photography classes to get a good certificate, but these students need to complete classes & something like "practical training" to get the certs. This boss is postponing classes with the reason too little student & refuses to continue for sometimes. During that time, he also ask these students to work with him as the trainee & used them for his projects (He earned money from it & pay nothing to the students). He even extend some of the student's practical hour because he is short of staff. *I heard he told his staff: Generate more new client; those students already paid in full before the classes; they're not important!!!!* WHY HE"S SHORT OF STAFF? 1. He press the salary down kaw kaw (Your expected is RM2800, your last drawn salary is RM2600 & he offer only RM2200). His excuses is you got more than one thousands of things can learn from him & you get GREAT working experience there. He also promise after confirm will get to your expected salary... got staff 2 weeks already confirmed bla bla bla..... 2. During probation period, no EPF is given. You should know this is against labour law. 3. After confirmed, you get almost near to your expected salary (RM2700 etc); BUT your salary is not deducted sometimes. WHY? Because they skipped the EPF (3 months no pay, this month May 2013, they pay EPF for last year July 2012 etc). Pay some & never pay some, labour department only can urge them to pay in full. They might pay until you're 100years old baru finish pay. 4. If you resign, even though you got 1 month notice, he might ask you go 24hours & never pay you your last month's salary. Or maybe RM100 when you're entitled to RM2200 5. He is very vulgar in mouth & like to insult people. You might not be called Ali or Chong Meng; but phuqer & matherphuqer. 6. If he is hiring SALESMAN (passion to learn about photography), please do not engage with him. He doesnt pay for your commission even though the rate he promised is good. Sometimes he even said the client you served is walk-in & not considered your sales. 7. Working hour: He will say Monday to Friday at first; but later will change to Sunday to Thursday bla bla bla... & need you to come early in the morning to do something out of your job scope. (salesman serving food for his students & wash dishes etc) He got a lawyer as business partner, so he do what he likes. So many people sued him, but the office is still operating. Labour office say this company is famous (getting complained), but they cant do anything about him. Can refer to their other scams. Yes, the company is financially unstable because the boss like to spend money like water pipe. http://jpglicious.blogspot.com/2011/01/is-...u-read-for.html This post has been edited by Yirumi: May 22 2013, 10:25 AM |

have you guys heard of dummy company? there's no official office of the company, even there's no official phone number too.
my friend and I already been there for like 2 weeks as a software dev, but we are not being briefed on the company background (when the manager and CTO being asked on the company background, they seemed like covering things up). pay wise, its ok. but still, the stability of the company concerns me and my friend. why is it called a dummy company? lets make it this way. say one main company X, is a crony company. the owner is a well known guy in Malaysia. he sets company X and controlled the company indirectly, which helps him to get gov tenders. next, another company say Y, is created to by using the name of company X, to do software for the gov(which is the tender i said before). eventhough company Y is a technology solution company, they don't have any dev. so a well positioned guy from company Y, opened up a dummy company, which is the one i am working now, to do all the software dev. can a company impose notice period + payment to resign? like you have to give 2 months notice + 2 months salary.
i know that if it's 2 months notice and you give less than 2 months notice than you have to pay. but both? that mean once you give notice, you have to work for free for 2 months. is this allowed? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OK I just called pejabat buruh, things are not really good. the event must happened first (not paid salary), only then you can report. after report, they will investigate and if there is any case they will take it to some kind of mahkamah. if they find the employer is guilty and need to pay, then they will ask the employer to pay. of course a lot of cases the employer just ignore and didn't pay. this happened in a very well known company that has been mention a lot here. you guys would be surprise if i mention the company name. Hi guys
Yes very true about marcus evans and tru***tus. That is because the GM and those senior management crooks are of the same breed. marcus evans has a terrible reputation worldwide and I still don't understand why the can still operate. Anyway you can just go to read about them in a google search. Truventus ppl came from marcus evans and they are unfortunately a bunch of snakes. To them anything goes and I really believe they can kill their own dogs for money. Whole company will pretend to be some bigshots holding all sort of job titles to lie to their clients and employees. The entire thing is a sham and they never pay commissions on time. these people can't care less about you, what do you think they care about their clients? The stuff they sell are lousy conferences that they build on extremely low budgets, and then attempt to bombard ppl with calls to get them to show up. /the conferences aren't even researched properly and speakers never come back once they have been scammed by tru***tus. Also sometimes they sell fake events where the speakers/ trainers aren't even confirmed attending but they just use their name to sell. Imagine if you see a brochure and it say's Anthony Robbins will be keynote speaker... you then pay USD 2000 plus to attend then a few weeks before even they change to Chua Soi Lek as the keynote speaker. Unfortunately you can't get a refund you only get a credit voucher to use in another event. What's the point when all I wanted was to see Anthony Robbins? I really hope they have improved but judging by alot of ppl's comments including their clients, some leopards never change spots. QUOTE(caonling @ Aug 11 2012, 01:26 AM) Guys, This is my experience... Please aware of Trxxxxxtus Sdn Bhd, this company is absolutely oversell from what they offer. Their staff benefit is super duper low and they playing smart strategies on the salary calculation. You late 1 minute they also deduct from your salary. No medical benefit, no medical leave during probation without inform during interview. And even you got MC proove, they still deduct your salary based on 21.66 days. The company is not well organised and no proper operation system to manage their company. They are hunting for fresh grad...... especially out of MICE industry..... for those who experienced enough should know what im talking about. This is just wasting your time and they didn't keep promised on what they verbally agreed, and never state clearly inside the offer letter. As result, is like giving you a disneyland picture, go inside found out is just a low end theme park. This is the worst company that I ever experienced before. For your info, Trxxxxxtus is exactly the same as Marcus Evans. For those who go for interview, please kindly make sure you ask the P&L clearly, their strategies is always make things unclear to you if you didn't take initiative to ask. And they wont clarify clearly regarding staff benefit and working manual because they dont even have HR deparment. When you jump in, you will know what im talking about...... They open for vacancy all day long..... 4 seasons a year........ even now still keep hiring...... because their turnover is too high, people come 1st week, or few days, then they rather resigned or left the company. Im pretty sure they felt the same way as what i saids...... http://job-search.jobstreet.com.my/malaysi...y=search&src=11 And the funny part is, they wrote me an email and threatening me if I dont remove my current post i will be convicted to the law......now where am i did wrong? this is a platform whereby he/she feel free to post their comments. They even verbally threatening you and saying you going to be jailed if i dont follow. If it's a good company, you shouldnt be afraid. If it's reputation good enough~ who cares? Time can prove everything and this is again proved how I see this company as a BIG joke for me. Thank you very much again! haha~! THE BIGGER AND UGLY from what you trying to do, you should be shame to yourself because you rather waste your time following my post but didnt improve your company's structure. LOSE THE INTEGRITY, LOSE THE LOYALTY, BLAMES ONLY COME FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT ACCEPT FAILURES. |

My story is as below:
I worked under a company for 1 year, but due to some reason my boss ask me to resign because he know that I'm planning to leave already. He verbally say I can leave / resign immediately within 24 hours and will clear my wages and commission until the last day of my service for the company, I pass my resignation letter on the same day and done my handover to him, when I pass to him he said ok but then he never sign my resignation letter or anything in black and white stated that about my resignation within 24hours. The catch is until now I also not yet get any payout from them and they even send me a letter stated that I need to pay a sum of money for 3 months of salary because I didn't serve for 3 months in order to resign. Can someone pls help me how do I deal with this? So upset now |

Hey guys, company to look out for is Aptitude Event Management (formally known as APE IDEAS). There's so much to write about this company which I don't know where to start.
Promoters all around Malaysia should also beware of working for Naturel (Lam Soon) roadshow as Lam Soon is one of their key accounts. Aptitude promises to give out the payment within 45 days but heck that ever happens as they say this to lure young naive promoters to work and then leave them to wait for 4-5 months only to see their pay. I've worked at that company for quite awhile and now I'm sharing my experience working with them. I never did like the way how they worked as they're full of lies and gives many excuses to both their clients (part of client servicing) and promoters as I think it's dishonest and has very poor working ethics. Was struggling the first few months working with them as I always questioned the way they worked despite too that the boss of the company comes from a Christian background which is a real disappointment. Tried to reason out myself to like my job and to stay working in the company but I can only go so far and I'm so glad I'm out of it now. Moreover, I have just found out that the company wasn't contributing to my EPF even after deducting it from my salary since the first month working there, which is more than half a year. There's so much more about this company that I disagree with their working ethics to their client, the lies and deception but I will stop here for now. Whatever it is, think twice if you want to work with them or even engage them to work for your company as many companies they had worked for has stopped engaging them. Btw, their partner company, JD Media which provides media services too should anyone reading this to be careful as both of the bosses are husband and wife. P/S: Read here for more reviews of the company from people that has worked with/for them. |
