QUOTE(skyship @ Apr 20 2009, 03:02 PM) Haiz.. Too bad.. I found this thread too late. walao..I also went for interview with this company one week ago..I got a call from Marcus Evan asking if I want to go for their interview, then I said I don't remember applying for the co. But she said it's ok..you can still come for interview anyway. Then she starts talking about her company..very lengthy..but anyway I said I'll come for interview just to try out. I was very skeptical but then I looked at their website..and it looks like a good co. and I don't think it's scam. So I went for the interview..and I don't reall like it. The interviewer is very arrogant and stuck-up..plus her attire is not very professional looking (very very short tight mini skirt and some more can see her b**b cleavage like going for clubbing or wat..), so I wasn't too fond when I first going to the interview bcoz the unfriendly-looking stuff. And then she start promoting her co.. saying wat I will do is selling their product to the client and blablabla very long description..I was like walao..why didn't she just mention this is a Sales position. In the phone call, I told her I was an accounting student and only looking for position in accounting or financial department..then she said it's ok..I can just come for interview and see how it goes..and she also said that working with company can give me exposure to corporate world lah..meet CEO from top companies lah..etc etc. Then at the interview she said this department I'll be working at is Sales department, and all i have to do everyday is work from office by calling clients at least 300 per day or something. lol what a big joke.. It's purely telemarketing la. She then said if I succeed, I'll be called for 2nd interview, and then by the end of the interview she said I can come tomorrow for the 2nd interview. I was like..wah so fast?? then I just go la the next day for the 2nd one..just for fun..coz I got nothing to lose, and it's a good experience too. So I purposedly not do well in 2nd one, and I start asking stuff that I think annoyed the interviewer. That b**** is very arrogant, likes to make faces and sooo unprofessional! So I also make unprofessional attitude towards her, and at the end, I think she's annoyed and said IF she likes me enough MAYBE she will call me for the job. The way she stress the If and Maybe sounds so sarcastic, but bleehhh I don't care la if they didn't call. I oso don't want to work with people with that kind of attitude.Marcus Evans: I don't think is a scam company and not all the people there are bad as well lah. Unfortunately, almost all of them are the same only. Kekeke... I was under an old lady called Ms. Cheong (Normally people called her Yen). This one is really a b**** but she keep calling others b****es. She also told us about SELF-DEVELOPMENT which I never found in her. Keep told us about profesionalism which also never sense from her. She only keep spying what are you doing and then keep listening what are you talking even you are talking with your own mobile phone during lunch time. Her daily responsibilities is only checking her email and keep replying to those email (don't even know from who) then keep open-up the files/documents in her desktop then keep rolling up and down then close then open again then roll up and down again. From morning until late at night. She is really good in pretending -- pretend to be busy, pretend to be professional, pretend to be hardworking. Somemore, she only did her works mostly during the lunch hour/after office hours. Also has attitude problems. Haiz.. Ohya, another problem was I'm applied for marketing executive that time but don't why wil went under her. No doubt that, some of the position they posted in jobstreet are sound pretty professional but ended up everyone is doing the same thing in the sales floor. I heard managers in this company also very unpleasant, not tolerance etc. In conclusions, most of them are the same but there are some really good leader as well but too few of them. They will retrench people when these group of people can't perform well even you are in the manager level. SO, better think not only twice if you are seeking for sales position. The story is very long, but this is basically the environment when you are entering this company. |

I oso don't want to work with people with that kind of attitude. wei....free cleavage view wor...altho its a screwed up interview but atleast u got to see something..heeheh, im a boobs guy..(likes boobs)anyway jokes aside...why isnt the newspaper people doing something about all these misleading TITLES? like Events & Promotions...but u do direct sales job...stuff like that...Malaysia should adopt wat Indonesia is doin...gosh they are way better than Malaysia now...in terms of job advertisements...they actually have to put up: 1) Company name 2) Company address 3) Inform the government that they are hiring (for approval on ad) ---> no frauds of scam/misleading titles there i bet... 4) Firing a guy 24 hours needs to be compensated for 3months of take home salary i've read this whole section from page 1. and ive seen sooooo many jobs tat are misleading...its all the same thing over and over again... 1) They call for interview 2) You bullshit to them (even sound like u are not fit for the job, i know...i did that) 3) Guess wat???!!! They called for 2nd interview...WOW ???? ON THE SAME DAY??? AFTER 2hours??? SO SOON???? 4) You go, then they will send you to some factory or ulu ulu area. ask u sell things... 5) IF youre not lucky, u need to take a cab home...good luck. 6) You come to this forum and tell everyone...thankiu very much... I was not so unlucky as i read this forum before getting to part (4).....thankiu forumers...well its time we did something about those misleading titles/ads in the paper isnt it?? i think its a huge waste of time to go there...and money too...and get crap from them...lied to your face...total bullshit... I now know how to see job ads in the paper more carefully...those jobs AREN'T SCAM...they are just MISLEADING !! for those who are lazy to read from the beginning...here is a quick run thru... 1) Jobs that are titled: Events & Promotions (RM1,800-RM2,000; no experience needed, start emidietly. <----sorry, forgot how to spell) Management Trainee 2) Not willing to tell you company name when you call them 3) Newspapers not stated their company name and/or address 4) Office = 1 reception area...1 meeting room for interview at the back... 5) Tells you that you can earn RM10,000/month. (to lure you to join) 6) Bosses/managers age 25-35 (some LOOKS younger than me, im 22) 7) Calls you and inform u made it to 2nd interview on the same day, after few hours altho they need to decide among the other 20ppl to take.. 8) OR calls you for a training(practical) as the 2nd interview = send you somewhere to help them sell things = FREE LABOUR i hope the above has helped alil... |

What I dunt understand is why these international org and charity orgs like WWF, MAKNA, etc affiliate themselves with these con job companies?
Membership, direct debit donor program, yeah but a percentage of the donation goes to these corporation pockets. |

hi all,
I've an ex colleagues from ex company, she gave 24 hours resignation but A VP doesn't allow her to because according to her HR need to investigate on some cases which relates to her. This is what happened. The reason she wanted to resign is cause her Team Manager threatened her. He said he'll make sure she gets terminated if she doesn't do so. So she reported this case to another TM and this TM spoke to the AVP. And now, my friend don't dare to go to work because her own TM is causing trouble for her at work. Then she received this letter from HR asking her to compensate one month salary. Is there any way she can dispute? |

QUOTE(Wymanlee @ Jul 14 2009, 05:58 PM) Hi guys, I also got their call and ask me to interview. I wonder what they ask you to do except standing at the booth. I need to know more details, please tell me!I am here to contribute a bit for those who are looking for jobs. I have recently went for 2nd interview for X-TREME DIMENSIONS and the company is at Menara Yayasan as one of the people out here have mentioned. I dont think it's a scam company BUT BUT BUTTT... it's indeed sales based jobs despite the position i applied(management trainee) and the sales based jobs doesn't include direct selling. It is merely stnading at the booth like we all have seen people doing that all day in hypermarkets, chasing after people's arse and persuade them to buy products. I must emphasized that the products they selling are for charity purposes and they are working for UNICEF n WWF. For more details, please msg me or anyways you all want. p/s : i dont think i am gonna take on the job coz i hate the life of doing sales.. p/s: it's 100% sales oriented... no sales, no money hope that helps cheers It's true?>>no sales no money, even bacis salary also don't have??? I also apply for this company>> Nasad (M) Sdn Bhd Izzit a scam company?? I hope can get your reply before tomorrow night!! p/s: Anyone who know about these also can reply me. thanks 1st!!! |
