I wonder why they asked you to contact Malaysian Immigration directly. The company should do that for you. They'll have to do that for you. It's not like you can approach any country's immigration dept and say "Can I have a work visa? I would like to work in your country."
I'm guessing that when they contact "Malaysian Immigration", they'll be asked to pay all sort of fees.

Man, there's so many scam sompanies out there advertising anywhere especially on the newspaper.
Just take note of these details:-
When you call them ---------------------- 1. Ask them what business they're in. - If they said they're a servicing company and in financial service consultancy or sort, they might be a Forex company. Forex is illegal in Malaysia and please don't be trapped. 2. Ask them about salary. -They usually won't tell you how much because they want you to come for the interview so that they cam brainwash you. If they won't tell you the salary, don't take this job. It's a scam. 3. They will tell you to wear office attire. -We all know that we must wear that attire for interview purpose but when being told to wear one might be their strategy into telling us that they are professionals so that we will surely come for the interview.
When you come at the designated place for the interview -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Name first. - Just go to the designated building and look for their name plate in the office directory which usually can be seen at the lobby. If they have one, good. If they don't have one, keep this in mind that a long standing firm should have their name plate in the office directory. Not having one means that the company is new and in need to expand. They might be an outsourcing marketing/sales company. 2. The office. -Small office surely gives you the idea that this place is not good because small office is easily to arrange and easily for them to move out their belongings [if indeed theirs are a scam company] when they are being found out. - Have 2 or more small rooms for interview purpose just right after the reception counter. You just fill in the standard application form and be sure to get bored for their interview. Having those small rooms gives you the idea that this place just need a labor [probably a free labor] out of you. Usually offices with this kind of layout are scammers like Forex company or home based job company.
The interview session ------------------------- 1. Tell us your story. - They will first and foremost ask you to tell more about your self. This is just to stall your time. Professional interviewer never ask you this question first hand. They often analyze your application form first, ask you few questions then they will ask you tell more about yourself. 2. We want you to come for the training. -When you heard the word training which you need to come and then there will be a 2nd interview after that, just leave the interview sessions. They most probably an outsourcing marketing company or even worse, Forex company. Some of them will use another 'professional' term like on-the-job training. Yeah right... liars. 3. I'm busy. - After they are done interviewing you, they don't proceed to q&A session. This Q&A session is important because you can ask them questions that you might have in your mind. They will say that they are busy and want to end your interview session quickly. They're not actually busy. They are the one who put that advertisement in the news paper so they should expect that more candidates will come. Using excuses like "I'm busy" means that they don't want you to ask more questions to avoid suspicions. 4. The salary scheme. - If they said they will unveil the salary scheme only during the 2nd interview, just step out of this one. They are surely to be a Forex company or outsourcing marketing company. - If your would be superiors will get a percentage of income based on your sales, it means that the company is like MLM. Step out of this.
I hope these info helps you well. Who am I? Let's say I was working with them before.

QUOTE(elaine leong @ Jan 15 2010, 01:53 AM) thanks for ur info .. will check .. Hi Elaine, I just newly joined. This is my 1st post. Noticed that you have question related to Melaleuca. This company will be set up in Malaysia on 1st of March 2010 in Bangsar to target South East Asia market. This is a registered company selling eco-friendly household products including health care, make up / skin care, cleaning products with more than 300 products. Their business development method is applying direct consumer marketing system. Sometimes, when we worry whether the company is a scam or not. It is really depends how you look at that. Why certain people can really work on that, why certain people can't. It is all depends whether you have done sufficient research on that company before you made decision to join, and whether you put effort on it to achieve your business goals. No free lunch! It is only my thoughts.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, It was too late. Everyone starting to post the issues here it is because they dont receive any salary on or after 7th which promised by Rakhsha Royan S/B. From the beginning, i have doubt about the good offer from this company but after i explore their their website on http://rakhsharoyan.net/en_default.asp and they exist on many trade website such as tradeboss, alibaba .... then i start believing their existence in this market. I think everyone will do, right??? After i noticed by today's forum, i straight to contact Ms Diana Harum known as Yani 010-2751071 and Ms Ong 0169660843 but failed to get them. Maybe they are a group companys created to cheat our communities. No matter what, i think we have to do something to stop people being cheated by this kind of company. I will going to report at the nearest police station at Pandan Perdana hopefully it will increase community's attention to this kind of issues. Last but not least, better withdrawn all the money form your bank account (which you have given to them to pay in your salary) to avoid they will take further advantage from the victims.
