I honestly did not see the rm4 additional charge when I made the meals selection. I was only aware of it when I wanted to make payment.
Tell me, when were you aware of the rm4 charge? Initially I thought Maybank2u imposed the transaction cost but when I called them, they say it is not from them.
Although it is not a huge amount but AA will be raking in millions with this add on fee.

Hi, I only know about the fee from this forum.

I guess we as customers will never have a say as long as there is no other competitor. I remember many customers complaint about the credit card convenience fee too but we all know AirAsia's stance in this matter.

Have you asked them if they are charging AA for using M2U as customer payment option? I noticed that AA now turn all the fees imposed to them directly to customer + their commission.

No, M2U made it clear to me that they did not impose the fee. It is all AA and they have nothing to do with it.

Yes, one time fee.

Depends. If it's a reschedule, I'll receive email + sms as soon as they amended the time. Then approx 1 month b4 flight date, another email/sms. I even received phone calls from AA Thailand & Philippines, 1 day b4 flight to remind me of the time change.

Last time when AA was still flying to London. I received the notification email 1 day ahead, I sms my mom telling her the flight delayed by 4 hours. But she didn't see the msg & went to the airport as planned. AA ground staff presented her with an apology letter + GBP20 meal voucher. However, the guest who knew about the delay & subsequently went to the airport later, wasn't given the same treatment.

But there's also once I wasn't notify at all. When I reached the airport & check for the flight on the info board, only I realised the flight's delayed by an hour.

AA blatantly attempt to cheat customer..was gonna buy SIN-PEN flight but saw the advert 20% off for all flight starting 20.08.2013.
since it was 11.30pm, i just wait for the offer. price is higher even after 20% off.

pic on the left , flight query around 1130pm. the right one, is 1230am. they had adjusted the price before the discount, similar to typical sales in supermarket.

The longer you wait, the higher the price is. When available seats getting lesser, the price also getting higher.

For me, I don't care about what ever promo they have, I just buy ticket as early as I can.

I got few tickets cheaper after the promotion. But many date go up though, maybe bought by people already.

This is a problem because what most people tend to do is book the air ticket first and when flying is close - add on luggage and meals to avoid losing too much if you decide not to fly last minute.

I suppose now they charge RM4 per transaction regardless of the amount - meaning if you do it the old way by adding on luggage and meal when flying is near, you pay RM4 + RM4 for making 2 transactions.

I don't think so, if you have paid RM4 for flight booking, you don't have to pay again when adding meals. One time charge.

I discovered that if you have paid the RM8 fee using credit card for flight booking, there is no RM4 fee if you use direct debit later.

I just check in and buy my luggage, luggage fee increased but no extra charge rm4

When did you book your flight, before or after the fee introduction?

ohh not sure about direct debit, yes use credit card..

means only for those who use direct debit will have charges, if they want to do add-on? if so buying via cc is better?
