Are there any anti-virus apps that are free?
My Mom doesn't have a credit card and I'm not with her for me to try out the phone.
So I can only guide her from far.

The need for anti virus is really down to personal preference. I don't use any anti virus app or really see a need for it. Also I really doubt that your mum is going to go to any malicious sites or download any pirated app.

is there anyway to backup on the app arrangement on our application drawer?
or app like go launcher and etc have the ability to backup the application arrangement?

really a big headache whenever i done full wipe on the phone

which launcher u r using? tw4.5 can. launcherpro can but the widgets need to manually readd back. go launcher duno, nvr use before. spb can also. adw u can ask ant00

i'm finding a laucher that actually can save the apps arrrangement
so that after full wipe i can just install back and restore all the apps arrangement like before
it's very troublesome for me when i done a full wipe everytime

currently still using stock launcher

i do not require for widget since i don use any of them
mainly is on application drawer

All my app drawer is by alphabetical order. I use folder organizer app to put folder shortcuts on the home screen categorize according to app. This save me alot of headache when wipe flashing as I don't need to arrange app drawer. So I seldom use app drawer.

long time a since my last post. got a lot of travel lately. no time for my SGS2 either. battery standby time already reached 3 days as usual. this means i don;t use my phone that much in the past 3 days.

Does anyone here still use SPB Shell 3D?

if so, how have you managed to avoid the wakelocks and crazy battery drain? I still think it is the best launcher out there, just the wakelocks are CRAZY!!!

EDIT: it is not the app itself which is causing the wakelocks, it is the alarm manager which keeps coming on and off. I think this happens so the home screen clock widget can update itself, but I never have this problem with my ADW. If only there was a way to stop it from trying to read the alarm so damn often!!!

yea, i don't understand rooming with celcom, does it mean i can't make call or using data?

are u on custom rom? if not, this is one of the reason why we revert to custom rom. the developer had tweaked their rom for better battery life.

using the juice defender or any battery saving apps may or may not improve your battery life performance.

which rom can improve battery life ? this android thing is seriously complicated --

u still can call, sms and use data. rate still the same i think. but data is 56kbps. and one thing to rmb, when in 2G data is GPRS, which cannot use simultaneously with ur phone network. which means on data, no call/sms. on call, data hold.

Just no data. Can still make calls n SMS.
