Agree,a 0.2ghz difference isnt gonna make a difference. Not really a fan of the big size of the note,i already have a difficult time putting and taking my phone out of my pocket, i dont think note can even fit in my pocket

flashing insecure kernel ( downloaded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101671 ) using odin3.. will this root my sgs2?? do i have to run s2 root??

then flash back to stock kernel... right?? i want to use odin3 method... is this true way to root??
*
Easiest use CF root. Look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399

and follow the steps.

But what you have done is correct, insecure, root, then stock kernel. Easier still use what I said above, just takes 1 minute and one click

can anyone guide how to get kies air to work?
i also tried wifi file transfer, swiftp . none of them work.

unable to connect when enter URL in browser.
*
that is because swiftp works in a widows explorer window, not a web browser. Try enter your URL into your my computer window. All I use is swiftp unless I am transferring files larger than 10MB. Then I would use a USB cable

Makes not much difference really. If you want to tweak your colours, use this : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.n...anslab.sa&hl=en

antying need to set up 1st?

I don't know about Kies Air. But the SwiFTP you just type out the url that the phone says. Then enter it. YOU MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE SAME WIFI NETWORK( or router). Don't bother if your phone is on 3G and your PC is on Wifi...

If the CheckROM 3.0 is a no-wipe ROM, so I can just flash it over my 2.0 without losing anything and continue using it like normal?

does that mean that the casing will stain it's color on white s2???? sad.gif

shizuru, did the casing add thickness to the phone??
*
If a casing does not add thickness to the phone, that means it only exists in 2 dimensions. Which as you might know, it not physically possible. Even a piece of paper has 3 dimensions and has a 'thickness'.

Haha. I wanted a thick and tough casing so my phone will be fine even if it falls. And it did 2 days ago, on a hard tiled floor. It wasn't dropped. It basically flew and hit the floor. Thanks to my Case-mate Tough, nothing happened. tongue.gif

Check out this game :

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.g...rialx2_gl2_demo

I can recommend it completely because it is extremely fun and addictive. I am using the paid version. I have no idea how many levels are in the free one.

I am at level 26 now. If anyone has trouble, I can post a How To video. There is no How To video on youtube the last I checked

Easiest, use a small piece of tape (transparent of course). And make sure there are no fingerprints when sticking it on.

It's coming from the proximity sensor, I think that's normal(?), when I call in dim places it'll also lit.
*
The video shows a non-g . And the sensor coming on at boot is totally normal. Even PC's test everything before booting up. It is to check whether the hardware is plugged into the socket on the PCB

i try to dl the screen capture mod
always return with failed
already go inside the dl folder but file not associated
*
The downloading failed? Try using any file explorer to go to download> checkrom revo and delete off the file with the closest name. Then try downloading again.

If you are having problem applying it, boot into recovery and flash the zip from download > checkrom revo

OK, which part cannot? The installing part? Do what I said, boot to download and flash the zip manually by finding it in the download>checkrom folder.

To those G-versions on 2.3.6, is the USB Jig compatible with you phones on the latest android version? Samsung has started patching up the firmwares so jigs cannot be used. That is why most people replace the new bootloader with the old one which is compatible with the jig...

Its not compatible. Most ppl will downgrade to 2.3.5 to use the Jig and upgrade back. No biggie.

All right. Thanks.
