You can use any app protector available in market.
But I never use Go SMS. Might not be the same as what you are looking for.

If you've never got a lock before in the open even after 5-10 mins there is a problem with your GPS receiver. Take it back to the service centre an have it fixed. No need to use GPSFix or FasterFix, it's not going to help.

For your case..if your GPS never lock up before after trying so long..like KennyKB said..it could be your phone problem..

Give it a final test..stand in open area and do the final test..if still cannot..send it for checking.. biggrin.gif

Don't waste your time trying these 3rd party apps. By default your phone should lock GPS easily - mine is within seconds . Make sure your 3G is enabled - it will help
If within few minutes also unable - then send in to service center to check. I faced same problem in my previous htc touch pro - very difficult to lock - as under warranty motherboard was replaced FOC

No, the data connection using wi-fi or 3G is to help the GPS lock faster or lock indoors using A-GPS. Even without A-GPS it should lock in less than 2 mins in the open.

By the way, you have enabled GPS in the settings haven't you?

Hi guys and gals,

My Mom just bought the Galaxy S2 from the Mines shopping mall.

What are the things that she should do?

-The seller said that we should buy the AVG anti-virus which costs RM150.
Is it really needed? And is that the normal price?

-What else should we buy or do?

-What are the do's and don'ts?

-We were told that Android is different from Apple. He said that unlike Apple, the apps are FREE therefore there is no need to JAILBREAK/ROOT an Android phone.
Is that true?

Many thanks in advance
