What version is the market now?

Aiyoh how fast you wanna go. Even our dual core 1.2ghz is greatly underused. No point in 1.4 or OC to 1.6. So the selling point for Note is not the processor. For me its the large screen, better resolution and better batt life.

I think your gonna end up buying wrong phone. I9100 not I9000

My opinion, all samsung based rom are about the same. Just flash one, if it is stable no issue then stick with it until you get bored or a newer improved rom base comes out.

Lite'ning you can flash direct without rooting cos it is through odin. But the rom is old.

Checkrom /CM7 you need root + CWM first. As said use the CF root method as it is easiest. Does not matter if it is V4 cos the kernel will be overwritten once you flash checkrom/CM7 anyway. Just pick the closest kernel version to your rom. Plus there is nothing wrong with version 4 CF root.

I use voltage control. Used Lulzactive with single core yesterday but i think it drain more than OndemandX. Trying SmartassV2 today. Not liking it so far.

Slow slow one by one. Will eventually get to it.

You got custom rom mah. So dun complain.

Should be same. Setcpu will come in and change the governor at boot and go away. Just different program.

Agree. Also I dun think the price will drop much even after note is launch cos, the bigger screen isn't really a turn on for most people. Since the spec is almost similar, more will still choose SGS2 over note. But I could be wrong.

You got signal and IMEI still intact right. What kernel and rom did you flash with CWM? Try factory reset, APN should be configured automatically when you first startup.

1) Can you flash back speedmod. Then go to CWM, wipe cache and dalvik cache and try again.
2) If not can you factory reset and see if the problem persist.

Yes good question. I would suggest that you email Samsung about it cos they never give changelog so no one really knows. But some say the USB driver problem is solved and papago have normal fonts and a few other things.

I am not sure it is related or not but wont hurt to try cos frankly I do not know what happen to your device.

Reason for factory reset is that APN are automatically created when you first startup. I have never had to manually key in any APN in all the rom that I wipe flash.

Yes. Backup any app/data/contacts/messages first.

For me, apps/data = titanium
contacts = sync with google
messages = sms backup and restore

The lag we had previously is that the second CPU keep coming on too often. It was at 50% cpu load it will kick in. Gokhan change it to 70% meaning it comes in less often now. The second cpu kicking in is causing lag. That is why using only 1 cpu seems smoother.

Also he change the second cpu kicking in in sleep mode to 90% and removed the need to run both cores when waking up (this could be the cause of SOD for some people like me. no more SOD with 100 mhz. )

Added on November 11, 2011, 5:40 pmBattery friendly dunno cos depends on your usage. Stable try checkrom, villian, cognition, leomar or foxhound. And flash speedmod kernel with any rom you use to eliminate any tweaks on cpu that could make it unstable on your device.

There is no 2.3.5 for Malaysia. Latest is DXKI2 2.3.3 (forgot DX or DZ)
