Most app and majority of games dun need 2 cores. Everything i have on my SGS2 now runs smoothly on my single core 1ghz HD2 before apart from some games. I believe 2 cores only come in useful when doing heavy multitasking or running games with high requirements. In fact once we get ICS which should maximize the use of our GPU, the load on the CPU should be even less.

Default the kernel will auto manage the cores, when heavy cpu load 2 cores, when low load single core.

Both are different kernel so you can only have one. Both are meant for i9100. So if your using i9100G DO NOT flash this as it will brick your phone.

ha, need you to check whether it has any partial wakelock issue or not. i also got confuse from system awake and partial wakelock. last time i saw, my device was screen off but the system was awake..

I been using Handcent since day 1 I been using Android. From HTC Desire to S2. Never crashed. Very stable app. Never used any other 3rd party SMS app. Make sure u install it on yr phone and don't move it to SD card for best performance.

Have you downloaded any new app recently? How sure it is handsent? Try use titanium backup and freeze handsent or just uninstall it? After that, see if your phone crash. Have many reasons such as undervolt and overclock can cause crash too.
