Just back from Pavillion. Samsung promoter confirmed that my S Pen/phone is unaccurate. But they advice me to go to service centre first as they might help with the adjustment/calibration which i agreed as my phone dont have any other problem.
If this monday still the S Pen/phone cant be adjusted then i will claim 1 to 1 exchange.
- to those who want to know whether their S Pen and the phone adjust/ calibration is correct.
1) Go to S Memo
2) Open a page that have small/tiny square.
3) Point you S Pen on one of the small square and try to mark that square.
4) If you miss that mark (intended square) then most probably you need to go to service centre for calibration.
Try to do this test within this 7 days as you still have a chance to make a 1 to 1 phone exchange.
~~happy testing and good luck guys~~

Another way to tesr:

Go to LCD test from dialer *#0*#

Select s pen test

There are some grids with small boxes to test on.

Try to get a pin point accuracy on a flat surface.

If not accurate, just go for 1 to 1 exchange from sme. My previous unit they tried very hard to calibrate, no succes.

For the S pen, I found mine also not that accurate. However is it because of tech limitation or faulty unit?

As I said, it's not that clear on the photo but it's obvious on the screen. I also just came back from Pavilion and the Celcom guy says, oh sorry we can't swap for you, we only sell lines, phone please talk to samsung. Fair enough. He manage to help me find the in charge person and i showed him the line he said ya, luckily i test it. Then he made a few calls mentioning there's no new spare parts yet, so need to wait till next week. He gave me the service centre contact person in Plaza Berjaya there.

Called up that guy and he suspect is the screen. so he said will help me order a new screen and change that screen for me. Sigh... need to wait again. but luckily no need to do so much of hassle to back up all the things (still finding ways to back up those data).

Anyway, seriously, if don't pay attention, you wont see until the screen colour is bright, not combination colour of red and blue. Other colours you'll see that.

While waiting for the samsung guy to get me the contact number, i checked with him how's their sales today, he said is worse then yesterday. The crowd not that much and the outcome also not as good as S2 last time... Guess samsung needs to find a better telco partner for their new lauching of items next time. More attractive packages!

Doesn't matter. It's unclear on the photo. Don't know how to make it looks clearer since the photo taken out also "blur blur" like that... I dont' have a dslr so can't do much on the photo. lol.. Anyway, as i said, will call up the service team and get them prepare the screen for me to change next week.

Mine one also not that accurate.. slightly off the "cross point" at where i intend to point. Hopefully with the new screen this will be solved too.

This phone really brings out a new dimension for android phone. It irked me now seeing how polished Note is compared to S2. Samsung has been too lazy to bring the same improvement to S2.

Seem like there's a limitation to the tech behind S pen.

Personally I found that the way I hold the pen affect the position.

I'm interested in this phone, and already have a maxis monthly bill for a dumbphone (normal nokia phone)- no internet on that one. Does anyone know which is the best deal for this phone? Buy the phone outright, put own sim or go with the Digi or celcom packages? Also, where are the authorized dealers selling the phone in Kelantan?

Only reason I use maxis is because of coverage issues. Celcom is fine too, but digi no reception at kampung area.

Thanks

if I'm not mistaken, you can say it's the tech limitation. dun think you can and should expect 100% accuracy. deviate like a few mm from where you pointed should still be ok.but if close to 1 cm constantly, something not right. I face the same when trying to use the pen that comes with my notebook - same tech.

Actually, not much if you take the S pen off the equation.

Just some of the annoying things I encounter with S2, for example the keyboard, widgets, etc.

the flip case is not good enough, the camera behind will get scratch easily if put on the table, or put in the pocket or bag..have to find a nice pouch for it now sad.gif..
Just check my lens. You are right. The lens is higher than the case. Thanks god I did not remove the lens plastic yet.

I would say that Iphone hv the best design, apps store n marketing.
But Iphone design is so slow...as though they hv the technology but pacing their run inorder to maximise profit.

But the rest of the competition,Android manufacturers are closing in very fast with breakthrough design, leaner OS etc.
Apple better buck up or they will be out of the game.

All in all,as per today..i wish for an android hardware that can use the apps store.
To me Apps store is still slighty better!! nod.gif

ya agree
lol android hardware can use the app store ??
slowly wait for it haha
