Just sync your address n calendar to your gmail account. You need a gmail account to work with android to access market. When you setup the phone the first time you will be prompted to sign in to your gmail account

COURTS will always want you to pay by installment
Only last month they offer a cheap Sony Vaio notebook about RM 300 less from normal price plus 4 free gifts for RM 1699. I thought was a darn good offer and bought it as a gift for my bro-in-law's daughter. I have to haggle with them to accept full cash payment - finally they accept but only 2 free gifts instead of 4 as I did not want installment payment!!!

Open address book on your Mac. On PREFERENCES/Accounts - select Synchronise with Google and select Configure
Everytime you change your address book on your phone or on your Mac - the address book in your Mac or your Contacts in your phone will be auto sync ( unless you disable it )

I first rooted my phone using Odin by flashing netchip kernel ( in tar format); this also auto install CWM. Than from CWM, I flash the superzip file to root phone

When Chainfire releases his kernel - I reroot /reinstall CWM as I find Chainfire will offer better options in future rom upgrading : this need not use odin - instaed you run a batch file from your PC

It is still VERY SAFE to use Odin ; only issue is you have to live with the yellow triangle

Users who has used the SGS II before will notice the NOTE homescreen swyping lags very slightly compared with SGS II. If you do not compare, you will not notice the difference. I have said before the main grouse I have with the NOTE is its incompatibility with 3rd party launchers - it lags obviously and I do not wish to use any of it until the developers comes out with improved version . I have tested Spb Shell3D, Launcher Pro, Zeam, and ADW Launcher . So meanwhile I use the TouchWiz and sorted the apps using Appzorter but at expense of losing all the dock icons except Application

Yes definitely can root ; just use netchip kernel ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324225 ) OR zergrush exploit ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360 ) to root
But definitely not through Chainfire kernel until he comes with the kernel to match it
