I called digi helpline just now. The operator say cannot extend contract! If i wanna terminate contract hv to pay penalties.. the other way round she said i can sign another contract, means i will hv 2 contract if i do that. Guess what i replied her? I said "better i go sign another contract with celcom!".. then she become speechless.. LOL.. digi definitely gonna lose me whenever im done with this contract.. i hate dictators..
*
This is true...

Alot of people misunderstand because the one who allows contract extension is MAXIS, not DIGI.

Maxis allows contract extension for their Iphone plan user not exceeding 30months after re-contract. Digi on the other hand has stricter code and definitely no extension of any of their plan.

After using it for a while, it felt really nice especially with the Stylus. Although there is some lag when you scroll, the big screen kinda compensate for it.

I'm surprised with how well the handwriting recognition works along with the screen brightness.

Dont panic when you read lag. I said when scrolling. S2 is smoother when you scroll in browser.

Just got a unit from Pavilion .....forced to top up RM 50 cry.gif

Eh, playing dirty aa?

When I bought mine around 12pm, no such forceful selling. But I do sense their anxiety. When I was purchasing the phone, a bunch of guys actually came by and start asking a lot of things. It does seem like they are BOSS behind this Celcom dealer. I think they aint getting enough people to sign up I think.

wow... dun scare me leh.. i am still charging the Note.  Got it from DiGi just now at Tebrau City - the set is sealed, so i just unsealed it in front of them and check the phone and all other things are there before i left.  Din expect any DOA.  sweat.gif

but i did find the S Pen not so responsive on the demo unit.  Using fingers the response is instant.
*
Takes time to get used to it. I find it hard to use when I tried the demo set as well. I think holding the phone while standing may prove not so suitable for S pen usage. Part of it is because the hand holding the phone does move. When I tried out my phone back in office, it does prove easier to use.

While I like the handwriting recognition, I do think I have some problem with Capital letters. I hope Samsung add some guideline like Nokia where any words written below this line will all be lower caps.

I hope there will be chinese support soon... what a waste with the S Pen

I can't wait for the next firmware. Looking forward for improvements in GUI speed, smaller keyboard, and few others. I find it strange that the text prediction on Note is so much better than on S2 using the same Samsung keyboard. Someone need to port this over to S2.

For the S pen, I found mine also not that accurate. However is it because of tech limitation or faulty unit?

This phone really brings out a new dimension for android phone. It irked me now seeing how polished Note is compared to S2. Samsung has been too lazy to bring the same improvement to S2.

Seem like there's a limitation to the tech behind S pen.

Personally I found that the way I hold the pen affect the position.

Actually, not much if you take the S pen off the equation.

Just some of the annoying things I encounter with S2, for example the keyboard, widgets, etc.

Just check my lens. You are right. The lens is higher than the case. Thanks god I did not remove the lens plastic yet.
*
How is the lens higher than the flip case? Checked mine and definitely not as what you say.

Already 12hours plus and my batt is 78%. 3G always on. Some GPS usage, facebook, browser and games. Batt life really good after 3times full charge. Love my Note.
*
Only a day and you already charged 3times?

Just charged once and can say this won't need too much charging compared to my S2. Finally something that can last me 8 working hours without needing to recharge. This alone is much better than S2. I think still need to charge twice on weekends.

how many display hour can this note last?
*
You ask other people better. I'm quite a heavy user and care less about conserving battery. It did last me about 8hours. Don't ask me about my usage. Compared to my S2, I need to charge my S2 at least once during working hours and charge at least twice on weekdays and thrice on weekends. Tomorrow will be my first weekend with Note. Wait n see.

Monday go to service centre and ask for S Pen calibration. If still unaccurate after that..demand for 1 to 1 exchange.
wahh..lucky for you Uncle Benny :-))
*
Thanks... I might or might not be going.

Actually, I found a solution for the pen accuracy. Well, I have to say that as of now, I think this is more towards the technological limitation with Wacom. All I had to do is adjust the way I hold the pen.

I usually hold my pen with the end tip pointing outwards (in other word, opposite of me). This result in a great inaccuracy measuring almost 2mm from where my eyes thought was the cross points/boxes. Now, if I switch the pen holding style to one where the end tip is pointing inwards, albeit towards my hand and aligned with my thumb, its a lot easier to pin point even to the exact cross points in S Memo. There is also a gap between the gorilla glass and the actual screen which I think fools our eyes. To get the accuracy, I find that the moment you lose sight of the cross point (while using the revised pen holding style) will usually get you on the spot most of the time.

Tried with different holding variation, one to the left, 90 degree vertical and so on, each of them yeild different result. That makes me wonder about if the calibration is going to work. The engineer calibrating my pen might not hold it in the same way as I do.

If I had the time on Monday, I might drop by SEP 1U to try their demo set and see if I had the same findings.

No, Samsung Touch Wiz allows creation of folder. Just tap the application and then press the menu button beside the Home button and select edit. After that, you can drag and drop like ios.

What I mean higher is looking at the back, the lens is higher than the casing. So it will rubbing with your desk.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. My bad English.

Looking back at the box, now I understand what you are trying to say. If you're using the stock back cover, same problem like S2. But if Flip Cover, no such problem as the area around the camera is slightly lifted.
