soloinruds: buy a good cooling pad. v-sync off for better fps but game like PES 12 those sports game is better to enable for reduce display tearing.
Vsync is vertical syncronization, as CustomBuilt has mentioned Vsync locks the frames at the vertical (up and down) refresh rate of you monitor when enabled, but also reduces performance. Experiment with this option if you are looking for a performance gain.
General rule of thumb in gaming is to DISABLE Vsyc with-in the properties menu of your video card ( right click the desktop ) and in your game options as well. The next step to reduce tearing would be your monitors refresh rate; start at 100 and work down from that number. Most if not all games I play run succesfuly with 1024*768 @ 90Htz VSYNC DISABLED with out much tearing if any.
Custom Built has mentioned 85 and 100 htz. there is also 75, [72 and 60]---> these last 2 might cause an epiliptic seizure.
oic.. v sync enable = refresh rate of monitor n no tearing... while disable will gain more FPS but with tearing.. tearing can be solved by adjusting the monitor refresh rate in display setting? cos mostly default gaming rate is 60hz without any adjustment..
low rate will make u gila?? no wonder i pening2 when gaming..
thanks for the info dude...

Hey,
I'm having some problems with my mini subwoofer. When I bought it, it worked perfectly. But after some time, it kept popping out messages indicating detecting/not detecting the device. Finally, now it cant even detect it anymore.
And I think I accidently deleted it from the Control Panel\Hardware and Sound just now.
Need help

as me.. went to asus repair for free..

if gpu temp below 90C, i think shud be ok...ur cpu temps is abit high.. i dont know if thats the norm for n45/55.. if it is, then nothing to worry abt..
yes it is normal in ultra settings... ur gpu is good.. but not that good.. sorry to say lol...
vsync relates to screen tearing... imagine a horizontal line flashing across ur screen when u change ur point of view using with the mouse... try with fifa 12 n dirt 3.. those games alot of screen tearing
vsync usually caps ur fps to 60... unless it is paired with triple buffering , then u will see more than 60 fps...
if u dont mind the screen tearing.. then leave vsync off... get some extra frames...
ok thanks u..
