So this mean, N55 will need an assistance of notebook cooler ya? on its own, will be quite heaty?

Yesterday, went to Lowyat Plaza to satisfy myself, played with the buttons and everything.

Also compared to DV6, and XPS... I think I kinda like N55.

Almost everywhere selling at RM2799 or RM2699(but only with 640GB instead of 750GB) But Sri Computers offered RM2799 with FREE 4GB RAM upgrade. and silly 8in1 free gift which I knew gonna be all crappy stuffs.

So, how guys? Get RM2680-RM2699 from LYN sellers better? Coz IINM, the RAM is cheap.. Around RM60 can get adi.

Hi n45sf Users and Sifus..

Why does my CPU / turbo monitor keep on turboing all night long / non-stop boosting between 2.83Ghz and 2.88Ghz after few minutes of Windows start-up and during any idle time since couple days ago?? is it rosak already due to gaming or any other apps caused this?

Anyone experienced it ??.. can it be fixed or need to reformat??

i dont want to use throttle stop app anymore as it has caused my turbo to stop working ago!.. hehe..

thanks bro!.. ur thinking is right!.. found it from the task manager running process.. got this hidden file in c: ... /waragent/halo 3 games.exe running with 24% .. the highest cpu usage!! after i delete it my turbo boost back to normal already.. yeahooo!!     

yo man. Well its not hard at all. Just take out ur old hdd, remove the special adapter from ur old hdd, fit it to ur ssd and put it back into ur laptop then done ady xD. Real easy and risk free xD

urs is N45 or N55 bro? For N45, err, not really hard to disassemble it, u need to put the screw properly though, coz a lot of screws. and u really need to disassemble it FULLY(except the screen) only u can access to the cpu/gpu.

guys, u mind share all ur settings(power plan, throttle stop etc) when u gaming? And does anyone of u have the same problem as mine? where u play halfway sometimes the game will just hang and distorted coming our from ur speaker non-stop, and u can only cut off the power.

ya same guys, i'm N45SF users also having this problem. and quite frequently. Perhaps need to let asus know? And regarding the thermal paste, ya i wanna change also lol, but not within this week i guess, i'll need to order new thermal paste first, and of course if i change i'll be ok to post a guide for u guys xD

Hey all   quite satisfied with the N45SF so far. I actually find myself liking the weird design    i have one question tho,hope sifus can give some views. The speakers are awesome    but there seems to be some static/snowy sound,especially when it comes to higher pitched sounds. Not all songs have this,but more common when it comes to Buble-type jazzy/saxxy songs. Noticed this playing Buble Christmas. Other pop songs seldom have this prob. Should i be worried? Thanks 

Almost the same like me.. crysis / bf3 / MW3 ~ GPU (MSI AFTERBURNER) around 75 to 86c, CPU around 85 to 94c (CORE TEMP) in P4G high performance/etertainment now... Previously, i found my CPU temp up to 100c when the "halo 3 game.exe" virus?? running hiddenly!.. but not anymore after remove it ..

However, I've found some easy solutions of getting a lowered/better temp while heavy gaming as above mentioned lowest temp lately..which are; 
1. decreasing/adjusting the maximum AND minimum processor state in any P4G plan (plug mode only)...  (me.. better in p4g battery saving plan with highest display brightness, no sound in office plan but lots better temp) in the advance setting to below 100 during hot / sunny day environment.. like around 90 to 95.. (depends on ur lappy needs i guess).. but this setting will caused tiny lagging in the graphic performance ~ ultra setting, but smooth/normal at medium setting..

2, Try to let some gap around 0.5cm or higher height when u put on any notepad cooler underneath ur lappy.. OR highering / expose your under-lappy with high/better air-ventilation or with a net-aluminium type cooling pad OR using the small usb table fan / any type of fan .. hehe.. .. whatever method/idea of cooling down is up to u to decide and ive found it helps a bit of lowering down the cpu n GPU temps as well.. ( try avoid the NB-FT1 evercool heat sucker as its really sucks! hehe.. sorry evercool / i mean not worth for our particular n45sf when the temp exceed 80c!.. ) hahaha.. 

thats all i got and have a good try!..   

But lets hear from others as perhaps they might have done some better temp cooling workout!...

ya true, but then this time is tougher@@. Coz this hanging and distort sound and all is totally random@@. Sometimes i just start the game then this problem ady, sometimes i can play 5 to 6 hours non stop and doesn't have this problem...

Yes,u can do a dual boot with Mac OSX and Windows but not all hardware r compatible.I did it with my old Acer laptop.Succeeded in installing and boot in but no sound,no wifi and lagging condition.U used something call iBoot or Kalway to help u install the Mac OSX.
