The real size for "750GB" HDD should be 698GB. Open disk management and check if there is any hidden partition.

750GB = 750 000 000 000 Bytes/1024^3 = 698.49GiB
Most likely the recovery partition eats around 20GiB..

if u format by installing the new windows, but nvr delete the old partition, the old windows will be place in a folder name windows.old or something like that, it will take up space. ur primary partition is the recovery partition?

anyway 640GB is when divide by 1024, is not really 640 huhu, refer to lee_what sifu's calculation.

i still using 280.26 haven't update to latest driver XD

Click Start, click Run, type compmgmt.msc, and then click OK. (run as admin)

they ate mine around 2x GB only. some is ur virtual memory. bro is normal lah. u can clean format current OS & install clean OS. the will be less difference than now.

did u do partition? some is for reserved but i'm not sure for wat. but normally like 750gb hdd u will get around 700gb. 640gb should be around 590~600!

640GB = 640 000 000 000 Bytes,
so 640 000 000 000 Bytes / 1024^3 = 596.04 GiB

Just open the disk management, you should see the drive list.

I had the same problem before, check event viewer under administrative tools. The error should be regarding the AsusWebStorage, try uninstalling it and see if it solves the problem smile.gif

Ever since I uninstall the AsusWebStorage, I've never encounter the problem anymore. Thank a lot for your help!! =)

Guys here is the review from notebookreview.com
http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=6324

I noticed that their N55S has a Full HD resolution display, but AFAIK, the N55 only support up to HD+ resolution? Or only N45 is limited to HD+? rclxub.gif

And I thing I really agree with the review is about the power button, which is ridiculously placed in the keyboard layout, easy to mis-press. cry.gif

I went to IT Hypermart just now.

Saw the N55SF with i7 with the HD+ screen +Blu-ray Drive tu...

The display was so mesmerizing! So crisp! very sharp @_@

....Then...I closed the lid.

Oh my god! Super glossy black, so glossy that if it's placed on a murder scene, police might've called 30 suspects via the finger prints! gila wei..i put put my finger on it many2 places, it became a laptop during the world war 2 hahahaha...

Built is so solid, I like it. The keyboard looks high quality BUT the key placement will need quite a lot of getting used to. ESC and the button on the top right DELETE I think? Isn't where it is supposed to be in my life-dictionary @_@

Bottomline, I'm in love with N55.
