check your Wifi Channel setting in router.. if its on Auto, change it to 1 or 6 or 9 or 11.

When i start up my laptop recently, it blinks like 3 times on LED indicator before actually booting in. In batt mode, i had to press the power button 3 times.

its gettin annoyin and if anyone can help me, i'd appreciate it very much..
If possible, sending it to ASUS center would be the last option since i live in Miri and i dun want to be without a laptop for such a period.

No la, jz extract the thing from N43SL bios. One .wav file and one .gif file.

Did you got 7zip? or any archiver? WinZip, WinRAR......
If got, then right click the BIOS, and find 7zip or 'which one you got', then open archive.
Got a lot of weird naming files in it. Jz go search folder by folder, anything with extension .wav and .gif, and extract them.
Try what you extracted oso, coz they all random named.

(This GIF file cannot be used by FancyStart to make my BIOS boot animation, so I used it for Windows boot animation instead)
If want to make like mine, grab all the 3 N43SL wallpapers oso from Google.

1. Start with BIOS boot sound. (Using FancyStart and a video/sound/wav converter)

The .wav file is incompatible with FancyStart, so have to convert using this setting-->PCM,Mono,Bitrate 512 kbps,Sample Rate 32000 Hz,Sample Rate 16 bit
(This settings I found on Youtube. Check out his amazing boot oso )

Then after convert add into FancyStart using 'Single' option, and drag the time to 3 seconds.

2. BIOS boot screen (Using FancyStart, Photoshop or any image editing)

I use the pink J image, then change the 'pink' to 'golden' using Photoshop to suit my 'Golden' theme. (optional)
Also added an Intel logo found inside N55SF BIOS (also optional)
Then convert to 1024x768 resolution (may seems stretched, but will look fine later)

And then add using FancyStart, single option

3. Windows Boot Animation, the 'incredible J' animation (Grab the Windows 7 Boot Updater, google it)

The conversion from .gif file to the boot animation file takes a very long process, too long to write here.
Will upload my savefile later, and jz open using the software and Apply.

4. The logon screen (Can use any logon screen changer, or this TweakLogon but I used TuneUp Utilities)

I used the image with Jay Chou's face. I think using this software is easy, though I never used it before.

5. Wallpaper. Jz the same J as BIOS boot screen.

I can upload all the modified image and sound later and PM you, so no need to do the photoshop or conversion and no need the BIOS oso.

actually i agree with u, but it's better to have the fans easilly adjusted using speed fan software. Sometimes i use this laptop for extreme purposes, n my temperature averages at 80+ n sometimes 90+ for cpu.folding at home n doing work at same time.

I think it is not BIOS driver, is Atheros Wireless Driver, update 2012.2.21. This is recommended

lol, nobody said u cannot buy the laptop. Coz like my, personally i prefer N45SF over N55SF thats why i chose 45sf instead of 55sf. As for N45SF, don worry about the problem, we ady solved the problem. Its working perfectly now, no crashes/freezes and all those stuff. What u need to do is, when u buy the new N45SF, u flash the bios to 218(which can be easily done with asus winflash program). Then after that, u need to download MSI afterburner. MSI afterburner is a programme for ppl to overclock and monitor the GPU temperature. In our case, the laptop is NOT power insufficiency, but other unknown factor. What u need to do is, when u open up MSI afterburner u will see the core clock is 675Mhz, pull it down to 630Mhz, then u can play EVERYTHING without any problem. Even 675Mhz and 630Mhz the FPS no difference also, but pull it down to 630Mhz we don have any problem.

Go with ur heart, buying a laptop is not necessary for its function only, for me N55SF is better in terms(coz moment i bought this laptop 55 and 45 is same price somemore 55 is bigger screen and such), but i still prefer N45SF. I been using it since the third day launch of this laptop. No regret coz i love this laptop. Somemore N45SF EOL ady. So kinda like 'SPECIAL EDITION' ady xD

agree lan wake is epic xD. So is mass effect 3 man. U should try it. Then some other games include batman arkham city. Prototype 2 coming in 24th of april and diablo 3 in may
