It's actually floor wax. haha.. meant to coat the floor with a thin layer of arcylic to protect it's finishing. However modelers are using it as a final coat to protect the paint job.

GAMECON is on this Saturday 3rd-4th Dec at the Midvalley MIVEC. Wilayah & Selangor Modeling club will be having modelbuilding sessions for beginners and airbrushing armour workshops. More details here ... (not sure if the forum is working or not as it's been having some probs lately)

http://s12.invisionfree.com/ScaleModelsMalaysia/
Seemed quite difficult to find Future Floor wax already at ACE Hardware since most modellers already gasak a few bottles at one go hence the price increased and it's availability. I've not seen Johnson FloorWax here locally but only Future. You could still achieve the same tasks with Tamiya/Gunze's clear but of course much cheaper with future. But if u're dipping canopies it's better with Future.

GAMECONN... drool.gif really wish i can go ... but KL is just too far for me.. smile.gif
have a good time there Kelvw... post pics for us.. smile.gif

as for FUTURE..
they sell it as "future" label as well? cooll.. now i can try hunt for it in Makro or Tesco here.. smile.gif
and the important ingredients must be "arcyclic" right???

so you must have stock them up also, right? smile.gif

as for canopies, just dip it straight away? no need to dilute it etc?

i dont think its dead.. i guess its undergoing a hiatus period... i for one very busy with work & reallife.. havent had a chance to get to finishing my YF-22A model yet.. thats why no updates...

just that i'm eagerly waiting for my Macross model-kits... maybe next week.. smile.gif

i'm thinking of ordering more but have to wait first.. already got around 10 unopened-unassembled kits lying around.. smile.gif + 2 MAcross = 12 model-kits... someone is going to be VERY busy... smile.gif

ohh.. by the way... on Saturday, i bough 2 more model.... MIG 31 & MIG 25 1/72 scale from... Kitech.. smile.gif been looking for this kits for a while now..

anyway...

Lol...welcome to the club kuman. It's a modelers syndrome... buying more than we could build haha. I think I have about 200 unbuilt kits in store now. Have to slow down on buying and get down to building. It's gonna last me till my next generation hehe.

Anyway as promised here's the link to the pics taken at GAMECON.
Sorry I wouldn't want to upload twice ... so here they are.

GAMECON PICS FR

and more here as well...

GAMECON PICS II

Just browse around as there're more pics.

Hi Kuman

Thanks for joining for forum smile.gif We need the support of more modellers to keep this hobby alive. The kits were actually sponsored by HobbyHQ for the kids thumbup.gif otherwise it'll be too expensive for them to mess around with.

I'm not sure what's happening with the swap meep tho. I just got to know haha. Hmm I'll have to see what I don't need in my stash. Will you be coming down to KL?

the thought of organizing a bulk did cross my mind (of someone else's mind smile.gif )
but the thought of tax etc is very unpromising.... smile.gif or maybe someone can really clear this matter (like have an inside person in kastam etc) then yeah.. maybe someone can bulk it....

maybe Jackygwh would like to organize it.. smile.gif
i'm still waiting for my first order from HLJ... maybe after i receive it, then maybe can consider to bulk.. smile.gif

as for paints...

i bought Tamiya arcyclic like you say.... but i use it for hand painting... and use either the Tamiya spray cans or a normal industrial cans also for painting....

it depends.. if you're painting airliner... hmmm 20 colors / plane is possible...
if just a normal plane .. i think you would need to have a lot of color...

for mw i only have 4 kind of Tamiya PSray cans.. all was a bout the most general color used by most air force.. that grey thinggy.. smile.gif

Malaysia Airlines has expressed interest in purchasing the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner and has signed a deal for 6 Airbus 380-800 aircraft. The first A380 will be delivered in early 2007 under a lease deal from its holding company Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad (PMB) and it will be used to provide additional capacity on trunk routes to Europe.
