Any announcement from TM regarding the slow speed & packet loss? Even Hotmail times out for me.

Might be a per user problem. I can load international sites okay.

Pings to my VOIP provider in UK aren't great (350ms) and packet loss there too - but other places in UK and Europe seem fine...

hi there, i just installed unifi in my house.
my unifi wifi router model is rt3052, but i found that the wifi is very weak in term of performance.
my phones/ laptop are connected to the wifi. when i watch youtube via wifi, the video will stop half way loading. but when i watch it on pc connected with lan cable, i have no such problem.

may i know is it the setting problem or is the modem weakness? any way to improve it or should i change to better wifi router?

thanks

I am staying in a double storey terrace house with a VIP5 plan. I am thinking of renting a similar unit directly opposite (building to building about 50 ft apart). What is the best way(hardware) to share my Unifi with the rented unit with 3 pc on each house?

I need it for my work, incoming lines ... London VOIP number costs me RM10 each per month (£2) incoming calls are of course free - outgoing depends. I use another EU provider for Landline calls to UK (Voipcheap) who give me 300 minutes free after top up of 10 EUR ... so overall the cost is very good smile.gif Calling Malaysia also quite cheap - landline is RM0.05/min and mobile RM0.15/min

hmm, is wireless connectivity really slower than cable connectivity?
im living in double storey house, and my pc desktop at upstairs, and rightnow im using the wireless adapter, but sometimes the speed kinda retarded slow, is it because of the wireless?and even the signal strength was on "Fair" level only..

Wireless is always slower than cable connection.

What you can try is changing the wireless channel on your router to see if this imrpoves the signal.

Do you have any other PCs on the network? You could copy a file over network from one to the other, to see what speed you can achieve.

I also had this issue and was getting damn frustrated with wireless - now changed the desktop PC over to using the Homeplug adaptors - works much better rclxms.gif

Hey guys, there was a UNIFI/tm agent who came to my house and asked me to sign up for UNIFI. I agreed and filled up the forms, but now I can't change anymore, is it possible to cancel my registration? Since the installation is not dont yet?

TQ!
