@CyberKewl: nice Android site!
About the video post about TF201 benchmark: (that's prolly 1 of very few TF201 review that actually come with real benchmark, good find!) TF201 Antutu Performance in 3.2.1: 6524 TF201 Antutu Performance in 4.0.1: > 10000 SGW Antutu Performance in 2.3.5: 3749 But I can see in Antutu Ranking, TF201 on 3.2.1 OC to 1.6GHz already can achieve 12872... Point is, I hope to see ICS update for SGW! This post has been edited by cowithgun: Nov 24 2011, 02:21 PM |

For Maxis/Hotlink user who r not on data plan having difficulty sending/receiving MMS,there is no way u could do it without TICK 'use packet data'.here are some tips ;
1) Each start up or restart/reboot of device,there will b a problem to send/receive.so u go to setting>wireless&network>mobile network>TICK the 'use packet data' 2) go access point name>Maxis 3G internet>APN type>select 'internet' (maxis 3G mms leave it untouch) 3) network mode can choose auto,or wcdma (but prefer use gsm) 4) then u go messasing choose any picture n send it out (must b make sure send out!not idle sending) 5) after successfull send,go back to mobile network>maxis 3G internet>APN type> select 'mms' only. 6) after that u can send/receive with data auto on/off(icon data at top will pop up when got mms,after done it will gone) for mms all time 'use packet data' tick.no more data bleeding n no need to manual to go tick packet data for download each the mms or sending. remember,each time u reboot ur phone,u got to do the setting over again.so for best,dun reboot p/s: sometime no reboot oso will have error ,this is cause by phone itself,but very2 seldom,so do the setting again This post has been edited by nonstopps3: Nov 24 2011, 03:07 PM |

QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Nov 24 2011, 02:58 PM) wow quite a no of u guys say internal memory too low read the first page to know more info on the internal memory issue, i wont repeat here a thousand times like what others have said. with regards to lagging on this phone compared to iphone 4 - let me ask you this question - how much is iphone 4 and how much is galaxy W? If you want to compare better compare galaxy S II with iphone 4 then only fair. Price wise is similar if not cheaper for the galaxy S II with better overall specs. please compare galaxy W with something more reasonable otherwise it defies logic.another thing some of u played hd game say got lag...how come? i play my dad's ip4 oso no lag gehh... |

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Nov 24 2011, 07:13 AM) Factory reset wont remove root. Need to flash firmware or use some un-root method. 1080? SME or AP?Ensure NaviSEA is on internal SD, not external SD. I also wanna know. So SGS+ is as smooth as W, and smoother than SGS, SGSL, Captivate, Vibrant, etc? Now RM1080 only... can consider... I agree because of the price, it's really worth it. No other spec so far from reputable brands can produce such phone like SGW.Lag a bit, is okay no harm, as long as you don't overspent your hard-earned cash if you are on tight budget. I was just surprised that the 1gb isn't enough cuz high end phones like the sensation only have 1gb storage while xperia arc only have 320mb |

I was just surprised that the 1gb isn't enough cuz high end phones like the sensation only have 1gb storage while xperia arc only have 320mb i'll give a quick explanation on the 1gb limitation - unlike HTC phones, SGW can only rely on the 1GB for storing large games such as gameloft's games and Electronic Arts' games onto the internal storage even though you buy an external microsd card. For HTC phones, you can fully utilize the external SD card for this. So the difference its in the filesystem - the way that samsung partitioned it. That's why. But if you root you could map it to your external SD card allowing you to make full use of it.In terms of why the galaxy W is slower than iphone 4 in games is because of the GPU - you cannot compare CPU in pure numbers, there's a GPU element there. You're like trying to compare the gaming performance of a PC's quad core versus a dual core when the dual core one could win purely on a gaming standpoint if it had a better GPU than the quad-core machine. Its as simple as that. One other thing - iOS is a lot more smoother than Android - this is a no brainer, at least in its current form Android 2.x is slower than iOS but i think Android 4.0 / Ice Cream Sandwich with its handware acceleration enabled by default should either knock the iOS performance out of the ballpark or at least be on par with it. The 1.4 Ghz in the Galaxy W is already very snappy and it can only slowdown if you add in more widgets and stuff to your homescreen - which you cant do in iOS that's why its so bloody snappy there in iOS land This post has been edited by CyberKewl: Nov 24 2011, 03:30 PM |

If not mistaken, there are already updates up to the KJ5 version. We just need to be patient. Everything new is prone to have some hickups...initially. |

Be careful of the extra 1 year warranty. Most of them might be shop warranty onlyGo for those which are official Samsung 2 year warranty like the SEP. SEP= Samsung Elite Partner |
