let me put it this way...
1. vw service centre is 1000km away...
they will fly in for service but response time for emergencies have not been assured...

honda is 10km away...

2. crz is 2 years old, mk7 is due next year

3. Driven correctly the Tsi saves as much as the Crz

4. Tsi isnt a race car as well

that is the reason why i compared these cars...

performance was about driveability not outright pace (head to head)

Go for Golf TSI if you are looking at the complete package.. smile.gif

I believe the CRZ was developed in order for driver to have fun with the car. It's more about the enjoyment in driving rather than focusing on raw power.

I would like to think that on a winding road... Not neccessary on downhills, the CRZ should be able to keep up or match a turbocharged car. How I wish there are automotive shows that can do such review sad.gif
*
You are sure right about the driving enjoyment part.

Personally I'm not bother whether the CRZ can catch up to any bigger cc or turbocharged car in any ways. I chose this car coz I wanted something smaller for city driving without the risk of looking like a *****...lol

1. Yes, 2 seaters, automated Aircond control, Player with USB/AUX/CD/MP3, Sporty dashboard
2. Not bad, but i'm still new to the car, haven't confident on its cornering when >70km/h
3. Great, you won't feel draged down even when you driving up to Genting (sport mode indeed).
4. Econ (30%), Normal (40%), Sport (30%) = 480KM (only used 30 litters!)
5. I'm a owner who switched from Gen-2(2007), so rated this 8/10! Half point on no autolock, halfpoint on no auto close side mirror & 1 point for short battery usage (almost deplete my bettery bar when I push it non-stop from Genting Toll to Highland for 30+minits)  tongue.gif

*My friend commented the audio/sound quality is so so only. But i'm ok with it.  icon_idea.gif

The car can still run just no more assist (extra power) from the electric motor.

The battery will be automatically recharged when the car is decelerating and under normal braking.

i watched the CR-Z development video in youtube interview some of the CR-Z designer and engineer
the main concept of this CR-Z hybrid is to change the way the driver drive to achieve green performance
that is y u see a lot of driver assist function like 3 drive mode, color change speed meter, real time fuel consumption meter, auto reset average fuel consumption each tank, ECO rating (grow the trees in the car).

afterall its still a petrol car with a tiny electric motor assist
it will not save u a lot of fuel if u duno how to
after i "run-in" myself with the CR-Z..... brows.gif
JB city drive with normal mode, i get 698km/tank (19.8km/L) with the little help of K&N drop in air filter

i met a safey officer recently visit my company for training
he drive his Prius all the way from Ipoh to JB and he get 18km/L
not saying that Prius is bad, but is the way the driver drive will make big difference

so far i'm very very satisfied with this car as pure raw power is not what i looking for, i still keep my B16A to play sometime flex.gif
since taking the car last xmas eve, i will rate it 9 out of 10

0.5 for the speaker (rear speakers are totally useless, i set to fully front)
0.5 for the torsion-beam at the back, not good for any hardcore project, but serve well for daily use pak toh gai gai car... thumbup.gif

Gents/Owners,

Would like to know how you feel about the CRZ so far?

1. Comfort?
2. Handling?
3. Performance?
4. Fuel Consumption?
5. Owner's satisfaction?

Am deciding between this and the Golf TSI.

I got my ride last 2 weeks and my dad has locked 2k's KM on it.. (as i've gave it to him to run in the engine)

1 - Superb..just nice for 2 passengers as you can forget to fill up the rear seats unless u have a midget / headless friend.. *lol*

2 - Handeling - Best if its in SPORTS mode.. the throttle response + Steering wise its a bit tighten ... (yes u do feel the difference if compared with ECON or Normal).. but its fair enough if its in ECON mode..

3 - Performance.. pretty subjective to explain.. depends in what ur looking at.. for me its OK.. feels like driving a MINI / Lotus ... as it a LCG (Low center Gravity) car.. as for performance parts theres not much options in the Malaysian market for now as the car is still quite new.. not many dealers carry parts for this car yet.. just matter of time.. but ive test drove a HKS tuned SUPERCHARGER CRZ last week.. and its AWESOME..!

4 - i've manage to clock 20kms/liter ... full tank (brim) can lock more then 700kms.. as for now .. ive only fueled up 4 times and now has clocked over 2600kms.. still monitoring tho..

5 - I LOVE IT.. as i am a single raider.. so its suits me.. but i do notice its a head turner when u drive this car.. (for now)

PROPOSAL FOR AN OFFICIAL FORUM FOR OUR HONDA HYBRIDS.

I do not have the knowledge to build an official forum.
I would like to suggest, whoever is capable to do this, I think is a good Idea to have an official forum for our honda hybrids to have a official forum. Insight, Jazz Hybrid, Civic Hybrid and CRZ. All in one official Forums. This is a good way to communicates, discussion, trouble shoots and ETC...
Suggestion:

What do you think?
CRZ members already active inside the FB group, and have already registered a club officially. That is why you don't see a lot of postings in this page.

Beautiful car but any idea if it will have second hand value?

My friends have telling me that insight's second hand value is pretty low due to general public not trusting the "hybrid" factor and how long it can last..
