QUOTE(crocky @ Mar 15 2012, 10:10 AM) Should be 95k as govt know this not fully hibrid to get tax rebate lol... no such thing, if it is not hybrid, it won't even be below the price of Petrol only version of Jazz. It is either qualified (<2.0l Hybrid) or not qualified (>2.0l Hybrid or non hybrid) for the 100% import duty & excise tax exemptions. No such definition of "Not fully hybrid" in their policy. and no, our Cronies BN government is not giving us tax rebate, just exemption. still have the cost of AP (god knows how much they charge or "Pocketed" for AP) and 10% Sales Tax I guess the only reason is Honda Malaysia don't want to kill honda city sales and too "tamak" so mark up higher This post has been edited by psyeo: Mar 15 2012, 10:49 AM

- they don't want to kill City sales, especially with the facelift coming (which is quite ugly) - they have to retain the current Jazz 1.5 customers so that they wont go into rage mode because the Jazz 1.5 value for sure will drop even more. - they need to bring the model pricing closer back to the Jazz 1.5 so that it wont look awkward with the huge price gap (115k vs 85k)

Oh well, this is Malaysia, you can never guess when the cronies government is going to withdraw those exemptions...so i guess Honda Malaysia is not taking any chances and try to earn the most of it for Hybrid cars for this few years.. We need change! This post has been edited by psyeo: Mar 15 2012, 10:46 AM

It is still worth it, if compare to the Petrol only Jazz counterpart and not too mention the much lesser tax and duty that have to be paid to our gov to let them live like kings and queens and spend it like nobody business (This is one of the main reason I bought Insight ) This post has been edited by psyeo: Mar 15 2012, 11:03 AM

I think we are missing one point. Toyota Prius C can ge 35km for 1 litres so what is the performance for this Honda Jazz Hybrid ? It is a 96K versus 94K investment question. Go to http://toyota.jp/aqua/001_p_001/spec/spec/index.html to find out the spec for Toyota Aqua if you got a JP Window installed. By the way Honda Jazz=Fit in Japan or not but I am not sure because got many variation like fully EV etc, Toyota Prius C - Aqua in Japan. This post has been edited by fred131: Mar 15 2012, 11:57 AM
