If you push it too maximum, what will be the side effect in long term? Will engine become noisy or draggy?
*
In fact you might feel that the engine will be smoother and more responsive after that. The will be some excess metal bits from the block during the run in period, that is why mineral oil is recommended for at least the first 10,000km.

I've seen a few hp difference between cars that was pushed hard and cars that was "cared" when it was still new.

But of course its not recommended to be pushing your engine hard to the redline during the entire life of your car, this will definitely reduce the lifespans of your engine internal parts and most common problem due to prolong engine whacking will be missing engine oil (makan minyak hitam)

mineral oil is the lowest grade of engine oil, mineral oil - semi-sync and fully synthetic.
*
Or commonly known as "normal" engine oil.
Also if you can find those hard disk grade magnet, it would be useful to attached it to the oil filter to help attract the shaved metal bits. smile.gif

Stay calm dude, just send to SC for checkup. As long as its still within warranty period, you should have nothing to worry about..

Yes, but it makes me worry also.. There are many cases that SC don't know how to solve for you immediately, then just put there for long time & no temporary car for driver.
Apart from that, I more worry after they solve this matter, NEW problem arise..

ohmy.gif
*
Well true enough about the hassle of not having a temporary car for work.

Anyway just be positive thinking before sending the car to SC it might not be as bad as you would think. smile.gif

After the fiasco with that Honda Accord owner two years ago, i guess Honda is much more careful now when dealing with their customers... lol

QUOTE(47100 @ May 8 2012, 08:07 PM)
wat will happen to the price of pre-owned hybrid car value if gov remove the tax incentive of it??
*
Second hand cars will always be evaluated based on market price so naturally if the tax incentive is removed the price will be higher but I got a feeling that the tax incentive will stay for a long long time.

i asked my SA to delay my booking until new incentive for hybrid cars are announced. anyone know when the new NAP will be drafted out?
*
Looking at the current situation, should be after the election... wink.gif, then again this thing will take ages, draft, review then got certain parties will try to lobby against certain things in the new NAP...etc

I guess its only fair that the new incentive can be back-dated i.e. apply to present and future Hybrid owners.

Gents/Owners,

Would like to know how you feel about the CRZ so far?

1. Comfort?
2. Handling?
3. Performance?
4. Fuel Consumption?
5. Owner's satisfaction?

Am deciding between this and the Golf TSI.
*
For me is simply 1,2,3 & 5.. smile.gif

In terms of performance, CRZ is not even close to POLO TSI..

U should compare hybrid with hybrid. Cant compare a TSI ENGIne with hybrid. Both car from different world

hybrid, lesser emissions the better it is
tsi, more horse power the better it is
*
Look, the guy was choosing between CRZ & Golf TSI. So if i'm not gonna compare a hybrid performance with a TSI engine, then tell me what the hell should I be comparing it with??

I'm selling of a 260HP 2.0L turbocharged car to be driving a 122HP 1.5L, don't tell me that I don't know the different between this two cars.. ;P

Nobody is saying anything about u dont know about these 2 cars. Clearly my message is for the guy who is comparing these cars and for readers general knowledge.

Maybe is my mistake by quoting my reply with your post.
*
No offence taken dude and my bad for making the wrong assumption.. smile.gif

That's what i was trying to tell him as well, don't expect much in terms of performance from CRZ if he is choosing between CRZ and Golf TSI.

QUOTE(BRC @ May 9 2012, 05:08 PM)
let me put it this way...
1. vw service centre is 1000km away...
they will fly in for service but response time for emergencies have not been assured...

honda is 10km away...

2. crz is 2 years old, mk7 is due next year

3. Driven correctly the Tsi saves as much as the Crz

4. Tsi isnt a race car as well

that is the reason why i compared these cars...

performance was about driveability not outright pace (head to head)
*
Go for Golf TSI if you are looking at the complete package.. smile.gif

QUOTE(LittleBear @ May 9 2012, 04:44 PM)
I believe the CRZ was developed in order for driver to have fun with the car. It's more about the enjoyment in driving rather than focusing on raw power.

I would like to think that on a winding road... Not neccessary on downhills, the CRZ should be able to keep up or match a turbocharged car. How I wish there are automotive shows that can do such review sad.gif
*
You are sure right about the driving enjoyment part.

Personally I'm not bother whether the CRZ can catch up to any bigger cc or turbocharged car in any ways. I chose this car coz I wanted something smaller for city driving without the risk of looking like a *****...lol

After the battery habis then how? car can't run anymore? how to charge it back?
*
The car can still run just no more assist (extra power) from the electric motor.

The battery will be automatically recharged when the car is decelerating and under normal braking.

any crz owner that has tried driving at high speed and hear sounds like the key maker grinding the key sound coming from mayb the engine or somewhere in the car? it's very short and disappear fast and dun occur everytime. I've experience it 3 time in a journey.. sad.gif
*
Yep, some of the owners already experienced this and one of them even captured it in video.

Myself also have heard this noise in one of the YouTube video showing a Japanese driving the CRZ in track, can't remember which video though.

Any Major problem of this? I think i hear this in the range of 120 - 140.. never go more than tat cos it's stil virgin.. will highlight this during my coming 1k service. sad.gif
Mine not accepted yet.. sad.gif
*
I'm not sure if its a major issue, perhaps you can try to find the answer in international CRZ forum. Even if its not something major but it can be irritating and kinda spoil the driving feel.

I passed by Honda and asked my SA for the news on cvt. apparently she says that the expected launch is next month but still no confirmation yet though. anyone confirm this?

are they pulling a 'hyundai elantra' on us? delaying further?  hmm.gif
*
Or it could be the goverment agency delaying the approval??

dont think so, normally approval would be on price and infact cvt would be more expensive. no brainer if they reject pricing.
*
Well sometimes there could be external factors as well, for example lobbying by a certain competitor.. wink.gif

This happened on certain CRZ, according to the American owners this due to the winshield moulding.

Your fren should record it down and make a complain to Honda
