Guys, anyway to disable the homescreen feature on 2.3.5 where when you swipe at the last home screen will bring you back to the first homescreen ? I find it quite annoying.

QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Nov 2 2011, 08:30 PM) Yeah, that's what i think but no need custom roms. Just lowered the brightness and manage all auto sync, scrolling and animation should do the trick. Can't wait to get one in my hand ~~sigh~~ |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Nov 2 2011, 08:27 PM) Mine can go for 3 hours on max brightness, and this is with heavy gaming like Asphalt for 30 mins and Sentinel 3 for an hourThe capacity of the note's battery is 50% more than our standard one, so with light use, like what he had done. I am pretty sure I can get at least 5 hours out of my battery. |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Nov 2 2011, 01:38 PM) If I remember correctly it have been remove in 2.1 because of too many ways to backup so gokhan thinks it is not necessary. Use hc tool to backup. Thank you so much and also thanks for the link to the hc application to do the backup. Had downloaded it and worked like a charm. The backup has 2 files. One is a .img and the other is .gzCheers! |

QUOTE(snigapoe @ Nov 2 2011, 06:52 PM) i flash in recovery mode, and from cwm also getting signature verification failed? Need to extract the zImage file from the zip and place it in your /sdcard.i tried with siyah kernel also the same appearing could not found the zimage but it is inside the zip file run your cwm again and it will detect it. I did mine that way and it went like a breeze. Oh Sorry, forgot to mention that I use the CWM Manager that came with rooting with CF root rather than going into recovery mode. With this I could flash kernel but need the zImage file not the zip. My humble apology for the mis-info. This post has been edited by alflo: Nov 2 2011, 08:53 PM |

Unfortunately he's not a gamer so he use it n other way such as calling and surfing. That's why he got only 12hours within one charge. But you can see the screen on time is half of his battery usage. With moderate usage. this Note can go nearly double than that. Maybe 18 - 24 hours with minimum tweaking right from the box.The capacity of the note's battery is 50% more than our standard one, so with light use, like what he had done. I am pretty sure I can get at least 5 hours out of my battery. p/s - beside, duckness use 2000mAh battery i think. This post has been edited by waveweaver: Nov 2 2011, 08:58 PM |

It will be more appropriate to flash the custom rom first. This is with the idea that the custom rom normally comes with a kernel as well... so after flashing a kernel then rom will just overwrite the kernel you just flashed. |

This is with the idea that the custom rom normally comes with a kernel as well... so after flashing a kernel then rom will just overwrite the kernel you just flashed. Problem is he won't have cwm to flash most latest custom rom. Only one i know that flash through odin is outdated lite'ning. It would be easier to download <10mb cf kernel to get cwm than 300mb lite'ning rom. So my usual advice is flash cf root kernel then flash whatever rom you want. |
