My menstrual pain was terrible >< Im 16 years old.
and every 1st day of it I will experience cold sweating, dizziness, vomiting, nauseous, headache.

My doctor gave me some protein pills and she called me to wait for the result after 3 months.
Im currently taking it as the 1st month.
And the pain reduced.

If after 3 months, the pain has gone. I'll keep you guys updated and i'll ask my doctor what's the content of it.

the side effect if u depends on it too much is.. next time u r in pain ponstan wont be able to relieve the pain u nid to consult doc for another powerful medicine~ rclxub.gif

Yes, ponstan is like that. Last time I only took one yellow and blue pill, then it was 2 yellow and blue pill. Now I take one orange pill.
It's also better to take it once you feel the pain is about to come, because once the pain has strike, it'll take some time for it to work. Doctor told me this. smile.gif

TS, I've got opposite problem from you. Imbalance and no cramp. (Unhealthy).

Perhaps, try LD-Venus Gold by Elken. It helps both ways. Its main purpose is to relief pain and regulate hormon. I'm planning to take it soon. It will be very costly (>1k) but I don't mind taking the risk as this isn't medicine. Its all natural ingredient. It won't cause any harm to all walks of life except for pregnant mother. Moreover, I'm currently taking their spirulina. (It works wonders). laugh.gif

For me, I stopped cold drinks and try to exercise more.

Also, drink something warm on your first day. It usually helps me.

Try taking Spirulina, the green seaweed tablets. Many companies make them, if not wrong.

If all else fails, Panadol!

Yes TS, spirulina in itself helps but for long term. Beware do not fall for those hoax people selling. Only get from those known names.

I used to have cramps every time I get a heavy flow (almost every other month!), but after taking Birth Control Pills (BCP), it regulates my period and the flow aint that heavy anymore. Surprisingly the cramps are gone, though, I get them every 6 or 7 months once. If the cramps are unbearable, I'd suggest to see your GP smile.gif

i take painkillers i.e. pontsan, panadol menstrual pills to alleviate the pain.

p.s. i have asked a few GPs and all they told me was to take painkillers to reduce the pain.. sweat.gif

you can read about it here... smile.gif
http://www.omx.co.nz/

no side effects... it's just natural abstract from plants i think... haha... i just know it's good bacteria... tongue.gif
if you in PJ/KL got few branches I guess you can go to... it's a MLM thingy just warning you...
i've been taking it on & off whenever i'm in pain... don't like pain killers or birth control pills...

That's because GP way of doing things are prescribing pills and medicine.
Most of the other methods of reducing pain are more based on cultural beliefs and traditional herbs which GPs are most likely not going to recommend. smile.gif

Myself have a super serious menstrual pain almost every months until i fainted..hmm almost every months too. I'm taking Ponstan 500mg since 8 years back. It's not recommended to take this pills because it will have side effect which is gastric. Recently my gf recommend me a pill for cramping which you can get it from Pharmacy (Guardian or Watson) and its called Buscopan. It's really help to stop the cramp within 15-30mins. But i do eat this medic togteher with Ponstan because my condition is abit serious.
Or another method if you're unwilling to takes any pills, you need to avoid of drinking cold or ice, beer, sleep late and need to eat more those chinese herbs such as "bak foong yun", "bak zhan" or herbal soup. Hope this will help smile.gif
