SGS is at the end of its life cycle and yet I have not found a rom that is truely stable without issue. MIUI is smooth but the battery drain is just not usable. Other roms are all about the same and still lag and slow.

That is why I will not buy another Samsung phone again. Just look at how many galaxy phone is release the last 6 months....its almost from A to Z lol. Samsung is good at making new hardware but its software leave much to be desire. With so many different hardware out there , their software team just cannot refine its software.

I'm going the IOS way.

Me and a friend of mine try a couple of Galnet MIUI we both have to switch to other rom because the battery die out too fast. Eventually my friend trade off his SGS for an iPhone 3Gs and he seems more happy with its performance.

I have been flashing rom every now and then, and they all the same. Slow and laggy after a while. I remember I bought my ipad more than a year ago and I have only upgrade the firmware once and its been serving me well till now. See the difference?

I have changed to a BB Torch 9810 now because a BB serves my mobile needs at present. My wife has 'inherited' my SGS and she's pretty happy with her phone, running stock ROM with an ext4 lagfix enabled and pre-rooted kernel (CF-Root). Have not flashed any new firmware or rom for her for the last 3+ months. So far no complaints from her, possibly because she does not use 3G-data, only uses wifi.

She likes being able to play AVI, MKV and RMVB files without any conversion with MX Player and enjoys all the free games from the Market. To each his own, or her own, as in my wife's case..

hmm i nvr used galnet's didnt like it, i use official MIUI roms.

My cousin had an ipad2 and i have been using it frequently, there's minor lags also. iOS or android they are just operating systems and nothing's perfect. Even the new motorola droid razr or galaxy note lags a little of coz not as bad as the SGS but its not a fair comparison if u wanna take it that way.

Just get urself an iphone 4 or 4s and stop complaining. Nothing is gonna fulfiull ur desire if u continue this ^^

To be honest, iOS does provide a good overall user experience. From the web browsing to picture viewing. I do really likes it... Btw im referring to iPad2.

The only thing i dont like is the controlled ecoSystem in managing media files on iOS. Also, the homescreen customization is not available in iOS... laugh.gif

is just a app launcher with rows of icons. might as well get a nokia N9 . actually the most stable rom is always stock rom. i never use custom rom because of instability. just use stock rom + custom kernel.

yup, agree, loving stock ROM very much, just a couple of phone.process forced close, maybe coz i always close it in a hurry by spamming the button, but it's still rare to have a force close on stock ROM, since I bought sgs for around 1 months plus, only had force close around 4 times

btw, want iphone look? go to market and search for Espier Launcher, there you go, 50% of the iOS interface is in your hand

This lag problem seems to haunts only the flagship Galaxy S due to the NAND design.

Try S2 (GT-I9100), its performance is really unmatched! Lag? I can't even make it lag, hardly.

Anyway, GNex seems to have good feedbacks from user.
