call quality is okay actually, i dont see any problem.. about the phonearena review on call quality below average, i dont think thats the case. maybe just somehow phonearena telco at that time somehow low signal or something just my thought though.

but i do face talking problem for viber.. i think that might be due to the connection problem

Anyway, I think I'll grab the phone before end of year if it's confirmed that there will be no more 2 years warranty from next year onwards.

The lowest price is 899 with 2 years warranty, right? Will the price drop to 800 next month? I'm interested in getting one.

unless other brand rollout a mid-range hp and a similar price.. else i dont think the phone price will drop any lower.. maybe RM850.. and i asked the stores i bought.. from their information, average selling of this phone is 10-20 per day.. so demand is quite high.. if demand is high.. obviously price will maintain or even jack up.. just my thought

by next month maybe no...its still too new...plus other manufacturer might not be able to bring this kind of specs with this crazy price...samsung is able since they make some of the phone components by them self...

you left it for another two to three hours, it will finally crawl to 100%.. then after u unplugged, straightaway will drop to 99%

this 100% or 99% battery life doesnt matter anyway, my asus eee pad transformer when u charge it - max it will go sometimes 98%, sometimes 99% and if you're lucky u will get 100%. not sure what causes this but its not a big deal actually. but my nexus one so far i always managed to charge till 100% using the usb charger (not the wall charger).

Nvm la... I will buy from lowyat samsung store gua since someone here said he can get it for 899, 2 years, just don't want micro SD. I will get micro SD upstairs also

I think this phone in certain ways better buy than the S+
Why?
Touchwiz 4.0 > 3.0
(You may say custom rom, but right now is there any for S+ or the W???)
- 3.0 was kinda crappy in my eyes
- 4.0 doesn't really change much from Gingerbread, but what it changes are nice tweaks here and there. Like folder in app drawer, add widget screen, etc.
- Smooth web browser like S2 (probably hardware accelerated)
Camera Flash (not sure if its gonna be that useful)
Cheaper
- Hits the <1K price range which majority of the people's budget is

What drawbacks I see is
- So far ZERO dev support on W (its really new also) (But S+ isn't much better, but has a CWM mod already)
- Internal storage space less
- No Super AMOLED
- Smaller screen

However, I'm going to recommend people this phone (Galaxy W) for my friends who can't afford phones like S2.

Funny thing is, a couple of months ago, king of budget phones was the Huawei Ideos X5.... Now bigger and more established companies are hitting the <1k range HARD. Sony Ericson and Samsung hit Huawei hard.
Oh, and I think Huawei still has not released gingerbread for the X5.
They have a gingerbread firmware lurking around for another model (OC version of X5), but it has a really ugly skin over android, unlike the X5 which has stock android)

Super AMOLED, 3.7 vs 4.0" and thickness is the main difference there. Internal storage... Actually if compare to Arc/Arc S (320MB user avail), it's a lot bigger d. Somemore after someone post the video comparing web browsing of W and Arc here, W is a lot smoother. SE wins on Camera/Screen Size/Screen Quality/Thickness. But actually... comparing the 5MP on my N82(old school yo~) and 8MP on Arc, except video part, I don't think my old N82 lose out a lot. Got Xenon flash somemore xD. Did equally good on lowlight also. See no point there to get it for its camera except the fact that it has 3MP more. W will be just nice but a bit too small for me. I got two more months to decide xD

hope that it'll gain attention from a developer just like galaxy ace

very big potential I'd say.
