    Android 2.1 is an outdated OS version
    Limited storage for installing apps
    No smart dialing
    No HD video recording
    No DivX video support out of the box
    Equalizer controls are not within the music player
    No secondary video-call camera

i better go for W cos newer with 2011 product. i still prefer HTC!

btw, any forumers here selling galaxy W casing and screen protector? need to buy for my new baby

Most probably can upgrade up to Froyo. Better save the funds and buy a phone that can be upgrade for latest firmware. Atleast dual-core. For Samsung phones, only SGSII and Note will be getting ICS firmware upgrade.
Go for SGSII if you have enough funds as the price is getting cheaper where you can buy new set at RM1600 already ~~just my two cents~~

that's why i don't use beautiful widgets (weather and clock)..just basic social widgets..but so far, i have quite alot of widget on my home screens but still responds fast.

if im not mistaken, motorola defy is 800mhz right? i thought of getting that too,but found out the processor was worse than the galaxy W.. galaxy W is definitely worth your money its fast,cheap and its ANDROID.

be careful of the so called "water resistant". is Resistant only. not really water proof. Still, DEFY+ is a great phone with it dust proof and water resistant, but in this forum we are talking about the affordable galaxy W. so stick with the topic   can't wait the review and comparison. Might get this for my dad if everything is fine.

Super AMOLED, 3.7 vs 4.0" and thickness is the main difference there. Internal storage... Actually if compare to Arc/Arc S (320MB user avail), it's a lot bigger d. Somemore after someone post the video comparing web browsing of W and Arc here, W is a lot smoother. SE wins on Camera/Screen Size/Screen Quality/Thickness. But actually... comparing the 5MP on my N82(old school yo~) and 8MP on Arc, except video part, I don't think my old N82 lose out a lot. Got Xenon flash somemore xD. Did equally good on lowlight also. See no point there to get it for its camera except the fact that it has 3MP more. W will be just nice but a bit too small for me. I got two more months to decide xD
