QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Oct 30 2011, 01:39 PM) Normal MSM8225 = 1GHz got a point there, since they OC'ed it I wonder if the lifespan will end up shorter for this phoneMSM8225T = 1.4GHz Why not change the whole numbers if its a different chip? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...=1243207&page=3 http://www.mobiletechworld.com/tag/msm8255/ |

actually this galaxy w has almost the same specs as the Nexus One minus the processor part and of course the camera features are different too, but size and spec wise pretty much the same.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Oct 30 2011, 09:25 PM) it wont drop any further for now, previously price drop was due to many speculating iphone 5 will arrive but instead iphone 4s came, but price still remain cheaper than when it was launched with RRP. But take note the processor was different in the cheaper version of SGS II. I won't explain further, u can check out SGS II thread in the forum. Lets continue talking about the galaxy W instead |

guys dont obsess too much about the free RAM. android takes care of the memory management for you unlike windows - it knows when and what to terminate to run other apps - so you won't get a nasty out of memory error when you run your apps. also as some have mentioned - some of the total RAM is used by the OS itself - so when you have 512 MB ram total, upon fresh reboot you will have somewhere between 250-350 mb depending on how much the OS use and other apps that you have installed that startup upon boot.

i'm a bit concerned with the overclocked CPU from the 1 ghz to 1.4 ghz, not sure will that reduce the lifespan or not but i guess we shouldn't worry cos got 2 years from SME?

QUOTE(happymonk @ Nov 1 2011, 08:44 PM) They will only update the Android version if they think that the function is essential at the same time maintaining the performance. So far we know that ICS run fluidly on dual-core model. If Samsung tested this device and it run at its optimum then we will have the update. So, we just have to wait for official Samsung statement about the update of ICS to Galaxy W. for u is it ok?Added on November 1, 2011, 8:46 pm Haha, if you are so concern, then go and try out the device. If you live nearby me then you can come and test the device. |
