huh? MSM8255T is rated at 1.4 Ghz..nothing unusual..unless you were trying to suggest it was overcloked?

erm i think its not overclocked one, it is purely rated at 1.4 ghz according to wikipedia, do you have any article saying that its overclocked? curious on this

got a point there, since they OC'ed it I wonder if the lifespan will end up shorter for this phone

you can underclock it only with setcpu which requires you to root your phone which officially voids your warranty.

for those who already using this phone - does it have a portable wifi hotspot feature? as i understand android 2.2 (or was it 2.3) has this feature, i'm wondering if samsung enabled it or not in this phone.

actually this galaxy w has almost the same specs as the Nexus One minus the processor part and of course the camera features are different too, but size and spec wise pretty much the same.

it wont drop any further for now, previously price drop was due to many speculating iphone 5 will arrive but instead iphone 4s came, but price still remain cheaper than when it was launched with RRP. guys dont obsess too much about the free RAM. android takes care of the memory management for you unlike windows - it knows when and what to terminate to run other apps - so you won't get a nasty out of memory error when you run your apps. also as some have mentioned - some of the total RAM is used by the OS itself - so when you have 512 MB ram total, upon fresh reboot you will have somewhere between 250-350 mb depending on how much the OS use and other apps that you have installed that startup upon boot.

i'm a bit concerned with the overclocked CPU from the 1 ghz to 1.4 ghz, not sure will that reduce the lifespan or not but i guess we shouldn't worry cos got 2 years from SME?

right. btw anyone know if one utama or sunway got sell this phone? if so how much and which shop?

just found out - like some have mentioned, 12 months usually by SME, 24 months by SEP - Samsung Elite Partner.
