Lumia 800 RRP is more or less confrimed at 1650, 710 at 999. That seems to be the price.

When the phone is lock/sleep mode, press and hold the shutter button for few seconds, the phone will activate camera app, focus and capture. The entire process is estimated to take around 7 seconds.

and uploading doesn't really count, some time you get a drop connections during upload.

if only capturing photo from phone lock surely wp7 will win.

wp7 - Power Off stage > press hold cam button > aim and shot = only 3sec

if ip4s - Power off stage > slide to unlock > open cam apps > aim and shot = ??

Point is all you need to do is hold the camera button the nokia lumia 800 will take the photo without going thru the process of double press home button then snap photo.

Is it officially confirmed the price for Lumia 800 and 710 are RM1650 and RM999 respectively? Are there any official or reliable source to back this claim?

Don't really matter if IP4S can do faster by incorporating camera short-cut in the lock screen, in terms of smoothness and stable, WP7 is already on par, if not better. With WP7, there's also voice recognition and command, which is not built into or available to previous IP.

Now the best yet, WP7 have people hub, which is social networks integration feature found similar in Maemo/MeeGo. It's something revolutionary, actually Nokia started it first in their Maemo OS, but because it's a Nokia, it's didn't become famous. If this invention is introduced by the famous fruit, it'll be a total different story, where they can even make something old, new and famous/special.

Android tried these kind of integration but it just didn't work as it should be, it was not truly integrated in Android and it's actually making things pretty messy and bad. I guess this is due to no standardization and not officially introduced into the core OS itself.

Crap, I have an important work appointment on the 10th... Can't take half-day leave to go queue up. ;_;

Looks like I'll have to settle for the in-ear Purity.

It was posted out as an insider info so it should be around that range and wouldn't be too much of a difference when it's launched (even if it's not as what the rumors said).

Hmm I was expecting Lumia 800 to be around RM1800 but it seems that Nokia decided to make it much cheaper here in Malaysia. smile.gif
