If you remember right Windows Mobile slow down few years back and suddenly came back because they took 3 years to rewrite everything again to make it fully integrated of their new Windows Phone OS

right now target is to take down RIM market share then compete with Google and Apple.

after that acquire Yahoo/Nokia/RIM and focus on better integration to windows 8 and thru Skype/Live,conquer IM market

then focus Xbox Live/Xbox 720 and beat Sony and Nintendo

Bing still have to work harder for local scout(i mean Malaysia)

Never even consider the Nokia phone until I passed by Nokia Garden and decided to just test with the Lumia 800... I was amazed by its beautiful and buttery smooth UI.

Aesthetically... this is the best for me... even compare to Iphone & any android phones ..Inside out. It is out of the box beauty. Yes I can customise it with android.. but I think I will end up customize it to follow how the windows UI look like (with lots of trouble).

Now just kinda worry if im able to live with the new OS.. I have used windows phone yearsss ago .. (O2 Mini generation tongue.gif), Then the very early Android... HTC Hero which Im still using. Then IOS Ipad...

The thing that prevents me from leaving Android is how well it integrate & sync my contacts into my Gmail account... I never have to worry about loosing my contacts... and everything is kept under just one system. and I can manage my contacts/mail directly from Gmail.

Can anyone advice how the Windows 7.5 manage its contacts? I can live with less available applications/games (ios/android) since I can play games & browsing on my ipad. Now I need a phone that works much more like a phone.. in a good way...so social integration and contacts become the major concern.

Certain exclusive apps I heard. I think ESPN is one of them? Or was it CNN?

@clivengu,

the best OS i've ever use in my entire smartphone history.. i can 100% assure you Windows Phone 7 work much much much better than WinMo.

the true is, since day 1 i use my HD7 and it only hang after 9month while i try to messing up with the jailbreak things and now HTC Titan!! its been 2month No Hang or laggy.

Yes, All contact will sync to gmail or live mail, and can edit using your desktop, can even add country calender ..etc
many more..

me, i have 2 group of contact
Gmail Primary Contact
Live Mail Secondary Contact

i even link my wife contact to my wp7, who know 1 day she forgot to bring her phone while all her contact are link with my wp7 she can simply call her friends family using my wp7.

the speciality of the Nokia phones is the contact sync i tested. It can sync your contact from any of your device you named it android, iOS, blackberry and etc.

The new windows phone is totally strip from complex to simplify thats why it doesnt need a dual core for a start.

That said, I can actually import in my contacts from Gmail... and then it will able to automatically sync with my phone the next time i add/delete/edit my contacts on my phone? I was kinda worry since this is a window phone... it will only sync with hotmail tongue.gif ... if this can be done.. i am definitely considering this.. Im now actually consider buying the Lumia 800 or the Galaxy note..

WP7 its Windows Phone. so, Only Windows Live going to be your primary login to WP7, Gmail secondary
no need to import, just signing in your gmail all your gmail contact will sync to wp7.

I'm using Gmail to store all my contacts (coz my Hotmail is screwed up with a lot of inaccurate infos created by my friends and also I added a lot of people I don't really know in WLM). I can confirm everything syncs nicely and perfectly, whatever you do on your phone will reflect nicely back into your gmail account.

Using Gmail with the native email client on WP7 is a bliss too, so no worries there. The amazing thing is I switch on push notifications for 4 emails accounts + around 10 apps for my battery life will always last me the entire day with about 2 hours of heavy web browsing. Using Samsung Omnia 7, which is a 1st generation phone which is supposedly less battery-efficient compared to the new generation WP7 like Nokia Lumia.

Don't know if I used the terms right, basically I was talking about the push email that came with WP7.
