i hav to agree with this.
sri comp has been my personal showroom for almost 2years when i do the window shopping for stuffs like speaker, cd/dvd, casing and modding stuffs..
i go there survey the availability and prices first, then blah..

its been two weeks i didnt go to work there. should i continue? sometimes look at so many complain,makes me feel no mood one. but being a part-time, the working hours flexibility assured. (my salary rm2.4/hour) which i feel a bit low. im lost...

for the forumers, the price cant discount much(or discount a few ringgit)its a branded one like microsoft or logitech like that(smaller profit margin), other brands can consider higher discount but not on mouse or keyboard. depends on your experience of shopping and you may state out the price you want to purchase. some good happy face one of course you may get a higher discount,those fierce uncle--sorry la...

when you need recommendation of pc, you may ask from different sales man as comparison. some may have experience and some are new staff. dont aspect them to know everything but of course, again, dont bargain on something which only have profit to the goods about rm2 or 3. if you wan electronics stuff(power adapter,converter,plug,screwdriver), its better to go to jalan pasar(pudu) as lowyat basically sell computer stuff cheaper.

there are up and down for the pricing as sometimes the supplier give different price to the shop,so if you are lucky in the cheaper shop,grab the stuff! PC fair,lazy to go... KLCC=jam.

Agree .. . A free showroom .. especially when looking for speaker and fan, and after satisfy testing/looking at the product .. go out, and buying at another shop .. 0o0o0o0 .. isn't it's good to see this shop still running?

Thank you for pointing out the slim margin from selling computer parts.Ur kind opinion hopefully could help a bit for all the LYP's shop .
It is good to have people as new working in a computer shop and expose to the public the running of the business with a tight margin and yet bargainning crazily from the buyers.This does not meant that buyer has no right to make a bargain.It is just depend on what items ur are looking for.

I would like to give ur a scenario outcome resulted from the stiff competition.Let say here Lcd monitor as an instance.

Let say 6 shops selling 17"Lcd Monitor at RM 485.00 (The reseller cost is RM 475.00 with package commited).5 of the 6 shops practise selling price at RM 485.00.Suddenly the inactive shop (The one with poor sales) throws price at RM 480.00 or RM 475.00 at cost to clear off the stock.

Okay, come to this point.If you are a buyer who bought the price at RM 485.00,suddenly u see other shop sells at RM 475.00, what do you feel ?
Who should blaim for ? Ironically, the one who bought at RM 475.00 will pour many negative on the shop he/she used to buy.What happened at the end ? This particular buyer for sure will go to the shop who offers lowest price and no more return to the shop he/she used to buy.

This is facing by many of resellers until today at LYP.Hence,forummers, ur got any good suggestion for this kind of situation.I am willing to learn.

Walau A... RM2.4 per hour.. lowest partime rate that i have even seen.

very low isn'n it ... wow .. how to survive ^ ^

erk..even fast food shop oso give at least RM3.50/hour if im not mistaken

refers to the clamping tool(sorry for spelling mistake if any), its at the front cashier,near laptop there where u see many bluetooth and card reader side... down there near screw driver,it should be there if they didn't clean up the place. if u r seeking for rj45 socket(perhaps) its near screwdrivers,if dont,seek at printer counter,where they have a lot of cable,ask printer staff n they r quite friendly by the way.

So far tat i had watch u all's comment and disagree... but i m still happy that there had no further complain bout my dept(laptop) , if there is, pls let me know so tat i can improve my frens or my manner/ performance....

but if u all had any complain bout other dept, pls dun bomb at me bcos i m not a supervisor or a manager ... cos i m jus only a senior part timer at my dept, but u all got any question or u wan me to give u suggestion, it also be wellcome...

but dun ask me y RM2.40/ hour, tat i m still working there, cos my sallary is above tat, and still havent add comission..

by the way, 1 oppinion during buying goods in sri com, pls dun ask the girls at the counter, u all will get ntg if u ask them.
