So I wasn't imagining things, haha! Thanks bro, will check it out later. Also, have some question. Is your edited runme.bat the same with the runme.bat that is edited in this thread? Also,in your opinion, will there be a way to root KL3 using zergrush method, doomlord way that is? Will it be updated to root KL3? First time in the rooting scene,so newb, haha.  sweat.gif

it is ok to be noob as long as u have the intention to read and google around. smile.gif
it is the same actually, but some people just dont want to read, so i made it edited for noob-proof..lols
i have also add some logging command but it is not so important.

so far the bug is already patched, highly probably we need to wait for new bugs to appear. lols

if u are keeping the warranty, just flash KJ2 and use doomlord method to root.
after u have the CWM, u can flash custom rom from others.

but like me, i am sticking with my own modded stock. much better tongue.gif

Yupe,I agree 100% with you bro. I always stick to my stock ROM,but mod it to freeze certain apps that I dont need that are always running in the background, would always get better battery life after that. Am currently using Optimus Black. A great phone, just needed to feed my gear acquisition syndrome, hence, buying SG S2.

Never flashed custom ROM though, scared that it might mess up my phone. I just root my phone, freeze unwanted apps, and that's it. Although, getting SG S2,might venture to the realm of custom kernel now,if I'm brave enough, that is,haha! tongue.gif

rooting my tab to overcome was easy until some blady snatch thief stole it away from me few months ago.

After some saving i got my new S2 and bricked my 1 day old i9100G yesterday and lucky i was able to get restock at Samsung center at Lowyat today. I think i miss a step or two or i insert a wrong file to flash. Dont dare to try it again =.= .. saw so many ICS type ROM at XDA .. soo tempting !!. Any expert wanna do it for me ... i spend u TT after that ... lolz ... biggrin.gif

Just by rooting cannot improve ur battery life. U need to flash custom kernel or at least freeze bloatwares.
Refer creezalird's guide. I rooted mine using his guide. Then I use atmos kernel. Loving my phone more now. Before this 8 hours moderate usage need to charge. Now can easily stretch to 16 hours with moderate usage. Nice....
Oh, thanks to all the sifus here for guidance.

u have made the right assumption, of coz i am using G version too..lols, i even made a comprehensive guide for it..lols

not differs too much, both are still 2.3.6, only small minor bugfixes.

for easy rooting without voiding warranty, upgrade to KJ2. because KL3 cant be rooted with doomlord (refer my guide)

then after rooting i can use all thoese CM9 ICS rom which was post at xda right ?
Do i need to update to KL3 after that ? or should i update to any firmware update after that ?

Yours is i9100G. They is 2 Galaxy S II in market, one with G (i9100G) another without (i9100). All ROM at XDA 99.99% is for non G version. If you flash it in G version, your phone will bricked anytime any soon.

I know this question is subjective but...
Currently the best ROM and Kernel are SuperRom and Superatom Kernel?
(If compare to juffo)

And...
Is there no way to avoid binary counts if I install custom kernel but still in stock rom?

@ZRong, if you can root with doomlord then you can install without touching binary count.

BTW, I think Superatmos posted on xda that he is not working on the I9100G anymore?

My i9100G's proximity sensor (red light located beside front camera) always ON. It will be off when the screen timeout or the phone completely shut down. How come? What's the possible cause and the consequences? What can i do about it if I root my phone?

You are joking right? If he stops his work on I9100G, what else ROM and Kernel are we going to use?
I9100G is dying...

He didn't explicitly specify that however...he did mention that the phone used was a loaner and he'll need us to pool up for a workable I9100G phone fund. I don't wanna sound like a paranoid douche but putting out a ROM on XDA (and this after like what 3-4 kernel revisions?) knowing full well that a loaner is a temporary work phone is a surefire time + energy wastage risk on his part.
