Yeah last him he said he was trying to port AOSP (or vanilla ICS) to the I9100G so I hope he continues with it.

@mathanxp, what happen to your phone if you plug it into your PC? Sometimes if the phone cant boot it will go straight into download mode.

ICS o_O? Leaked/available alpha/beta custom ROMs for non-G ones or were you referring to just the theme? If you power up your phone again and it just shows the phone to PC icon don't worry. In that function just plug in the USB, run Odin and reflash the official firmware. Done that. Happened to me.

Sometimes users here need to realise that they are using a GT-I9100G instead of a GT-I9100. It is like buying a car with 2 different engine. A modification for one of the engine is incompatible with another.

not really, depends on which method of rooting u preferred.
doomlords method needs u to downgrade to KJ2
odin method can be used without upgrade but will void ur warranty as it will increase binary counter

how to get the cwm?
i'm ald rooted.

i update by phone to kj2 after i rooted.

Haiz .. no idea why my phone jz can update to 2.3.5 DZKL1 only via software update... is it necessary to using a cable to update to 2.3.6 ?
in order to root / flash rom ...

10 days no check here, a few quick questions:

1. currently using superatmos V2.1, superRom 2.0, KL3
2. the red tiny LED keep turning ON by itself (not sure when), so i have to make a call and end call to turn it off.
3. game (Trial Xtreme) graphic distort sometime.
4. phone hang when incoming call interrupt camera

any idea how to over come these?

if it was not found from phone, then of course u need to update it from Kies or flashing using Odin.
preferably using Odin as u will get a copy of the rom itself. see my guide in my signature for instruction on how to update. for downloading latest firmware, get checkfus downloader (google it plz).

btw DZKJ2 only so far can be rooted with doomlord zergrush method.
latest DZKL3 and maybe other need to be rooted using Odin with rooted kernel

3. game (Trial Xtreme) graphic distort sometime. : it is expected maybe due to gpu nature
4. phone hang when incoming call interrupt camera : never once experienced it, so not sure, but camera in samsung kind of buggy, so it is predictable to have the hang especially when memory is not enough or gpu in constant use.

mine is DZKL3... can i install back to DZKJ2?

of course, just download DZKJ2 rom using checkfus downloader (or any of ur preferred method) and flash it using odin like in my guide.

My phone detect another firmware update but im worrying it is actually the same .. which is 2.3.5 .. is it possible for it to update to 2.3.5 from 2.3.4 b4 to 2.3.6 ? thanks for fast reply

by detect, what u meant? detected by Kies or by Odin? both are using different type of detection
