Try save & apply and reboot your router. If USB0 is correct, it should make a connection on next boot.

yes both can support,

if u worry,u can update router firmware to latest 120523 for V1 ~ V1.3

and download modem bin file from tp link websites and upload the modem bin file into your modem setting under network -> 3G

that's your personal choice,

for me, i would prefer V1~ V1.3 due to

can flash with openwrt

and V2 is not support by open wrt, plus the stock original firmware is quite buggy sometimes

and consistency is as superb after using with openwrt

after i flash with open wrt, sometimes the IP i can keep until 5~7 days before it DC.

with stock firmware last time, i DC every 12~24 hour,.. and keep losing all those good IP address,

that's why i personally prefer V1~V1.3

just my feedback experience with openwrt compare with stock firmware notworthy.gif

i still stuck in between update package list.

What I have done so far is,

Connect 3G using mobile partner.
Share 3G using LAN port.
the port will automatic change to 192.168.137.1

then i plug out LAN port to Router BLUE port.
connect http://192.168.1.1

cannot connect at all into the web interface.

i stuck 2 things:
1. not able login router web interface
2. not able download package

struggle to overcome this problem by using :

putty
and
configuration on LAN setting

why not u try this:

your router is fully flash with open wrt right ?

just not yet updates list and install packages correct ?

u can connect your lan cable to router yellow port as usual,

then use your browser to login 192.168.1.1

no password needed for first time, just direct click login

after that set your wifi first, under network -> wifi,

QUOTE
To setup your wireless ,
go to -> Network -> wifi -> Edit
-> Under general setup
-> set wifi prefer channel (normally more user prefer channel 11 )
-> set Transmit power = 20dBm (100mW )
-> set ESSID : enter prefer wifi connection name
-> select wireless Security
-> select prefer encrpytion
-> enter prefer password for wireless encryption
-> go to Advances setting
-> wireless mode : 11b or 11g or 11n or 11g+n
-> set country
-> click save and apply
-> general setup
-> click Enable

then after wifi set and done, reboot the router,

try to use your laptop wifi to connect router first login 192.168.1.1 in browser

then after wifi fully connected,

unplug the lan cable, and share your 3G modem connection via lan cable in laptop under network,

and plug the lan cable into the router blue lan cable port

then click updates list

and proceed to install packages

and follow by reboot after all packages install

and then login 192.168.1.1 again and set your wan 3G connection

then enjoy notworthy.gif
