Texas Instruments OMAP is the SOC (aka processor, though this definition is actually wrong, both socs use Cortex A9 procs) on the i9100G lar. The Original i9100 uses Samsung's own Exynos SOC.
It is not an app.
@Lineage: No. UC will STILL be benificial though as it lessens heat generated. Plus, I haven't found any app or game that ACTUALLY needs the procs to run so fast.
I run 1000-200 and nothing lags pun.
I was interested in your theory and I've tested out the underclock. Indeed, nothing seems to be a problem and it does seem like it works 100% well while underclocked at 200-1000. Although it does score significantly lower in the quadrant benchmarks, but real-time usage I'd dare say has 0 difference. It is not an app.

However, I'd also say if there is 0 difference in performance, then isn't it also nearly 0 difference in terms of battery saving? It is 200MHz... I don't think it makes that huge of a difference. I'm still testing out the battery longevity with this 1000MHz, if there isn't a difference, I'll just bump it back up to 1200MHz then.

Anyone here using GO SMS? If there are, how come the most recent update reverted back the notification sound to overwrite the GO SMS tone? Just one update before, the Go SMS tone is played when an SMS is received.... (notably, only the last 2 updates it was like that, before that, the previous versions also could not have GO SMS tones overwrite the default notifications tone)...
... How do we get the GO SMS tone to override the default notifications tone? Cause i'd really prefer my SMS tones to differ from other notifications.
Cheers
edit: Oops... looks like it's only showing problems with the PRIVATE INBOX having the default notifications instead of the GO SMS tone.. in the inbox of other contacts, it's acting normally.
