QUOTE(del_Piero10 @ Oct 12 2011, 12:20 PM) does jkay themes drain your battery a lot? i used the X-power ROM before but didn't use the Jkay theme. it seems to drain my battery especially the widgets.huhuhu.. not that I can feel... didn't really make any empirical comparisons though... it's fineQUOTE(izaydi @ Oct 12 2011, 12:26 PM) using XWKI4. On Ninpo 2.1.3 |

note battery size will be the same? I find that quite hard to believe... cause major difference between 1650 and 2500
if not, i'm sure all will change to that |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Oct 12 2011, 01:59 PM) It maybe thicker, but then it wont fit our SGS2 covers? So might as well get those big momax/mugen batt as they give you a new cover. I'm already quite happy with the battery life. Don't see the need to amp it up some more.. .already on data 24/7, no holds bar in widgets, checking fb/mail/twitter/online as I want... gaming VERY rare but sometimes I do when I'm bored... watching vids and listening to music occasionally... so... no problems there.QUOTE(del_Piero10 @ Oct 12 2011, 02:01 PM) i don't know, may be its like the other samsung high capacity battery which have a thicker thickness. big difference between adding 350mAH and 1000mAH.but the new samsung 2000mAH for SGS II should be thin as the original 1650mAH battery right? |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 13 2011, 10:40 AM) Well, many users are looking at a perfect phone. Yes I do agree with you these are minor issues as it does not affect the phone's performance. Maybe the pinkish spot on camera will bother some users who used to take shots against a white background the yellowish display I'd say is a non issue as most of the time one has to LOOK for it to see it - anyway can always ask to exchange anew set if it disturbs you. I have seen this on my friend 's phone and saw several photo shots of such and frankly I don't deem it to be of any issue at all Overheating - is a wrong term ; there is never any overheating . If you are use to 1 Ghz and above Amndroid phones, the "hotness" will not be any issue. You get used to it after few days - the hottest I ever have is about 50 degree centigrade while on charge in car using GPS. Symbian and Blackberry users will feel the heat more as they come from a cooler phones. Even the iPhone 4 gets hot too but as the SGS II is very thin the heat transfer is more obvious only. Even on my latest htc Sensation, though is thicker I also can still feel the heat And talking about the htc Sensation, I'd say if anyone is thinking of changing to it, I'd just say stick to the SGS II which is a much better phone in many aspects QUOTE(TheLaptopDudeGuy @ Oct 13 2011, 10:47 AM) beat me to it... too bad i've never had a chance to play with a sensation hands on so I can see the differences myself |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Oct 17 2011, 11:46 AM) Texas Instruments OMAP is the SOC (aka processor, though this definition is actually wrong, both socs use Cortex A9 procs) on the i9100G lar. The Original i9100 uses Samsung's own Exynos SOC. I was interested in your theory and I've tested out the underclock. Indeed, nothing seems to be a problem and it does seem like it works 100% well while underclocked at 200-1000. Although it does score significantly lower in the quadrant benchmarks, but real-time usage I'd dare say has 0 difference. It is not an app. @Lineage: No. UC will STILL be benificial though as it lessens heat generated. Plus, I haven't found any app or game that ACTUALLY needs the procs to run so fast. I run 1000-200 and nothing lags pun. However, I'd also say if there is 0 difference in performance, then isn't it also nearly 0 difference in terms of battery saving? It is 200MHz... I don't think it makes that huge of a difference. I'm still testing out the battery longevity with this 1000MHz, if there isn't a difference, I'll just bump it back up to 1200MHz then. ---------------------- Anyone here using GO SMS? If there are, how come the most recent update reverted back the notification sound to overwrite the GO SMS tone? Just one update before, the Go SMS tone is played when an SMS is received.... (notably, only the last 2 updates it was like that, before that, the previous versions also could not have GO SMS tones overwrite the default notifications tone)... ... How do we get the GO SMS tone to override the default notifications tone? Cause i'd really prefer my SMS tones to differ from other notifications. Cheers edit: Oops... looks like it's only showing problems with the PRIVATE INBOX having the default notifications instead of the GO SMS tone.. in the inbox of other contacts, it's acting normally. QUOTE(Eiraku @ Oct 18 2011, 01:29 PM) I think I know. erm.... the n900 could even play starcraft and run debianBut lets not ruin the surprise shall we... *wink* Anyway, RPG lovers will also be happy that we can actually run ANY of the Baldurs Gate game (Planescape Torment included) as well on the SGS2. Control without a BT mouse is... painful though. Still waiting for someone (anyone!) to port Jagged Alliance 2 to Android. For the love of God, if my old N900 and even my N810 can do it, why not my android superduperultraphone? ... not a very fair comparison though the overall UX on the N900 was sluggish when it did run aforementioned programmes. Yup. N900 ran programmes... ain't apps to me. ----------------------------- on another note, best rom? I'm on TXP XXKI3 with kernels jumping here and there, permanently reverting to either ninpo2.1.3. / Siyah 1.8 will stick with this for quite a while i think |

well... looks like only the SIRI application seems to be more attractive than anything else... very accurate too.. nothing else wins it |
