QUOTE(ViRaViRa @ Oct 15 2011, 01:40 PM) I personally think that Nokia don't know how to market this phone. It is kind of limited edition phone where even U.S. don't have it (a place where the phone has HUGE sales potential). Before it comes out, Nokia spoiled its reputation. . . . Or maybe they don't want to market the phone.

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Oct 15 2011, 01:52 PM) Prophetic words from Gsmarena. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « "If anyone is let down, it's the Nokia N9 itself. The platform is as good as doomed. Forsaken by its own creator. With Nokia giving up on MeeGo and a price tag that confines the N9 to a premium niche, it will be next to impossible for the OS to grow a substantial user base. Without users, developers won’t be too interested in MeeGo either. And the limited number of apps is the platform's biggest weakness." High price and lack of Whatsapp are stumbling blocks to the growth of N9, not so much the lack of apps. Whatsapp has dealt a body blow to N9 by saying they will NOT release a version for it. Don't underestimate the power of Whatsapp, it can make or break a phone. Why did WP7 fail to take-off? No Whatsapp! i still keep sgs2 due to whatsapp.

Then what for put up TV ad in australia & europe? Added on October 15, 2011, 2:06 pmQUOTE(KennyKB @ Oct 15 2011, 01:52 PM) By the way N9 is not sold at the price of dual core phones, it is sold higher. SGSII is cheaper than it in every market including Malaysia. As I said before maybe only Alien Dalvik can save Meego if it materialize. S2 RRP is 1899, 16GB N9 is 1799. if you mean regular hp shops, in melaka, it's only 100 lower than RRP. This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Oct 15 2011, 02:14 PM

Sad that I've sent my wife's N9 for repairing this week. It's kind of frustrating when I'm having "Mobile Network Error" EVERYTIME I restart the phone, and had to pull out and re-insert the sim card for a LOT of time in order to get it work. I've replaced 3 Sim Cards this week from the telco and still facing the same problem. Had no choice but to send for repair. I'm really pissing off with Nokia Malaysia that I've bought this phone for less that 7 days and they wouldn't replace a new one for me. Spending 2000 over for a Nokia phone end up wasting more time for trouble shooting and repairing. My wife is not happy with it, so do I. Overall the phone is smoother and the camera is better compare to my Galaxy S I9000. But, I would not go for a Nokia phone in the future, because of the quality of service. Personal feeling and opinion.

I advise all those collecting their N9s to bring their SIM with them, get it cut by the shop and test in on your new phone. It's better than chasing around getting your SIM cut later or buying one from the telco.

This problem very hard to detect. If u bring your sim and this problem occur they tell you is your simcard problem when u replace they will tell you is your phone. Except if customer insist to test on another unit

Except if customer insist to test on another unit If you are cutting an existing sim which you know works you will not accept the explanation that it is your sim problem. You will immediately suspect the phone and request that your sim be tested on another phone or another sim used on the same phone. As they are using sim cutter the sim should be cut properly.

It's better than chasing around getting your SIM cut later or buying one from the telco. The shop actually cut the Sim card for me. They inserted it and switch on, it's all good. Until I went back home and turn off the phone, the problem occurred. It's kind a difficult to realize this problem on the spot. Initially I thought it was my Sim card problem and so I replaced a new one at the telco centre. But it turned out to be the phone problem as I've replaced 3 sim cards this week.

I had several devices which I found out to be faulty on the day I bought it but I can't get a replacement even though I went back the next day.

It varies from company to company but sometimes it is the attitude of the shop. Malaysia has weak consumer laws which make them bolder.
