Yes, N9's clock will not disappear too (unless you turn it off in the settings)

Parting words from Gsmarena: "If anyone is let down, it's the Nokia N9 itself. The platform is as good as doomed. Forsaken by its own creator. With Nokia giving up on MeeGo and a price tag that confines the N9 to a premium niche, it will be next to impossible for the OS to grow a substantial user base. Without users, developers won’t be too interested in MeeGo either. And the limited number of apps is the platform's biggest weakness."

It depends on the Meego/Maemo developer community whether they can buck the dire predictions. Right now I don't see apps being ported at a good rate. Maybe they are all working on it and there will be a flood later on, hopefully.

lets hope so there will be more app in the future. whatsapp especially. smile.gif

Anyone else having problem with Facebook chat? Each time I connect to new WiFi network, my Facebook chat goes offline and the status says "password incorrect".

The only way to solve it is to open my Facebook app and then try going online at the messaging app again.

it can sell to those who dont use whatsapp, like me,lol. It can sell to non major cities where internet line is not so fast.
Nokia E & C series, blackberry users are not so much into chatting.
Being connected all the time the data quota will fill up very fast.
Of course,if nokia know how market it properly, hehehe.

I personally think that Nokia don't know how to market this phone. It is kind of limited edition phone where even U.S. don't have it (a place where the phone has HUGE sales potential). Before it comes out, Nokia spoiled its reputation.

After Nokia screwed up everything about such a great phone, they are still selling it at a price of a dual-core phone.

I don't know what are they up to. I showed it to many of my friends. They were so interested but the moment they get to know the price, their mouth are zipped and *change topic*

malaysia's price one of the cheapest already. They are selling like USD700 for 16GB. If I salesman, I tell them in Brazil official is USD900, for 16GB, scare them.
Its Elop spoil potential of n9.
Marketing in Msia low key compare to aust, they have tv ad.
Nokia need to provide CD with vids on how to, a lot of people dont read the user guide.

Prophetic words from Gsmarena.

High price and lack of Whatsapp are stumbling blocks to the growth of N9, not so much the lack of apps. Whatsapp has dealt a body blow to N9 by saying they will NOT release a version for it. Don't underestimate the power of Whatsapp, it can make or break a phone. Why did WP7 fail to take-off? No Whatsapp!

By the way N9 is not sold at the price of dual core phones, it is sold higher. SGSII is cheaper than it in every market including Malaysia.

As I said before maybe only Alien Dalvik can save Meego if it materialize. I would like to hear what our analyst Andy has to say on the future of Meego. Did I made an expensive mistake?
