Its normal for extreme battery drain in 2G or 3G.
Try use tethering via wifi the battery can last even longer |

QUOTE(dec12 @ Nov 14 2011, 11:51 AM) updated to PR1.1 with NSU.. Hi there, yeah same here after restarting PR1.1 is there is working beautifully!funny, the NSU says update fails, but after restarting, PR1.1 is there.. 1 question though, i tried enabling swype, but it doesn't seem to be working while typing SMS or notes... anyone having the same problem? For the swype to work you need to go to your keyboard, hold it and swipe to the left to activate SWYPE. Haha it took me a while to figure out. Try it, it should work. Cheers. QUOTE(drexar @ Nov 14 2011, 11:12 AM) My FB chat and Skype are on 24 hours when on 3G it drains faster. Mine on wifi & standby : 99% to 84% took 5 hrs.still, the battery is running out faster than before. now testing 3G. Before update on 3g it can last ard 10 hours, aft update drain faster I dont think developer mode effect much, its the 3G. |

We should not be too hung-up on analyzing battery duration. One person's experience may not be duplicated by others. There are just too many variables like usage pattern, apps used, screen usage, screen brightness, lock screen timing, syncing frequency with social networks, connection with networks, strength of networks (yes, weak wi-fi, 2G or 3G will consume more battery), bluetooth on, etc and even temp. and humidity. The battery % indication is just an estimate based on the voltage and the drain may not be linear throughout its range. When you connect a low Li-ion battery to the charger the charge will go up fast but it will not hold unless some time is spent on saturation charging, i.e. charging the last 20%.
What's important is that the phone can last you a full working day use without charging. If you can charge up at the end of the day, trying to extend battery life more than 1 day is superfluous. This post has been edited by KennyKB: Nov 14 2011, 05:53 PM |

The problem is it does not last full day after update,i.e. 12 hours. Hence, the analysis as to what might be causing battery drain.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Nov 14 2011, 10:23 PM) My 2nd try 1 am to 9 pm=18 hours, reach 16%, with 3G and wifi, no power saving(some features are disabled with power save). My expectations for battery life is quite high, being spoilt by the E series & blackberry Switching between wifi and 2.5G network online intervally from 11am until 10.22pm battery now got 35% including of phone calls , smses, foursquare check in and facebook chat. Next, will test the PR 1.1 with cutetube downloads. Before update, can last 18 hours, with 2 to 3 hours of cutetube download queue _______________________________________________________________ Wow, can still go at 1% lol. The lowest I wait to charge is 4% This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Nov 14 2011, 11:01 PM |
