actually isit worth it to lock up your money for so long just for the 1k incentive?
and if I am not mistaken, you can only invest in growth funds right? and the return is not consistently +% every year. ie: what if recession come, then the return would be -%, it also means that you are loosing money.

Up or not, up to your decision. It's free money by the way. Most of here are just pouring money for tax relief.

Nevertheless, your PRS provider will send you an annual statement in early next year. At there, you will see that it is stated RM 3000 despite the RM 8 charge.

The individual tax relief is applicable on gross contribution, i.e. inclusive of upfront charges. For example, if an individual invested RM3,000 with a Provider and that Provider deducted RM10 for account opening fee, and RM50 for sales charge, the full RM3,000 is eligible for tax relief, and not RM2,940. https://issuance.sc.com.my/home/special-inc...lief-incentive/

Depends on what you want. If you can sit patient;y on cash, you will get better returns when you buy in bulk when market is downgoing.
