QUOTE(Yamy @ Dec 1 2018, 07:54 PM) How do i buy PRS from new provider? I log into my PRS service portal and found that i can't find any option offer to switch to other provider. I can only top up with my current PRS provider account only. Reason being thinking of switching is my current provider didn't perform well for the pass years. You can only buy other PRS providers fund from PPA website. Not making sense for a PRS provider to sell a product from competitors. Alternatively, you can buy from other middleman website like Fundsupermart. This post has been edited by David83: Dec 1 2018, 08:00 PM

It also depends on PRS provider earlier cut off date especially new sign up or new PRS fund. Topping up shouldn't matter by earlier cut of date. Or is there another date? 1st time buying or are you an existing prs a/c holder? according to the LHDN.....the cut off date is 31 Dec....but are you gonna take the risk that your PRS contribution transaction records not managed to be on 31 Dec? Thankfully, low yat forumers as always are very helpful and willing to share information =) just a note: 1st time buyer needed longer processing time...for it needs addition time to cater for the opening of a PPA a/c first...before you can buy PRS funds.

If you invest/topup more than 1 funds per calendar year, you'll be charged RM 8 annual fee per PRS provider. Unless you're investing into funds from the same PRS provider. QUOTE(psyduck89 @ Dec 4 2018, 04:54 PM) I see... which mean one month only one foc top up ? PPA fee is charged annually per calendar year. It's advisable to concentrate on only one PRS provider per calendar year. QUOTE(virgoguy @ Dec 4 2018, 04:57 PM) So I invest back to the same PRS fund then I don't get charged RM8? Will be charged. If you invest into 2 funds from different providers per calendar year, you'll be charged twice: RM 8 x 2
