Hi, i made my purchases up to 3k in 2017, and all in 1 fund, but has yet to receive the youth incentive of 1k ? Is anyone facing the same problem ?

Pending government to allocate the funds to Ppa. Theres some discussion few posts back on this. Fund was delayed due to budget exhausted pre election, then there's the elections and government transition hence adding to the delay.

Dear PRS Member

While the Youth Incentive payment has been approved in mid-April-May, we are still waiting for the disbursement from Ministry of Finance to PPA.

This is taking longer than usual as the Treasury Department is undergoing a transition.

Should you require further assistance, kindly contact us at 1-300-131 PPA(772) between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays) or you can e-mail us at askPPA@ppa.my

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
PPA

Hmm.. I wonder why ADAM50 can get the RM200 incentive so fast.

Refer to PPA website: https://www.ppa.my/prs-youth/prs-youth-faqs/
Individuals must be aged 20 and above but have not yet reached the age of 31 between 2017 – 2018

Today
your wife is : 30 years 8 months 0 days
you are: 29 years 10 months 11 days
ref: https://www.calculator.net/age-calculator.h...F2018&x=78&y=32

thus until today, u and your wife are still eligible for the RM1k incentive

Hi guys,

I'm applying for PRS via the PPA's website.
Which PRS provider is recommended? It is my first time and I'm quite unfamiliar with all these funds.
I always hear people talking about CIMB / Public Mutual / Affin Hwang.
Thank you & sorry if this is a repetitive question. blush.gif

which one to recommend? hmm.gif
go for those that charges 0% sales charges, have agent to serves you and have the PRS funds that you wanted to buy that you liked maybe due to its past performance or it mandate fits your requirement?

Use FSM MY or eUnittrust.
Don't buy based on brand of fund house name. Buy based on what's suitable for you. i.e what are you looking for in a PRS.
For me, my PRS criteria is very simple
- it must beat EPF return as no point I put in PRS if I am getting less than what EPF is giving me. EPF is practically risk free money from govt. Since both is going to be lock up for a long time, I want it to at least match EPF return.

those that are between 20-30 yrs old, with high tax brackets may consider it worth to invest....
for there is supposed to be a youth incentive of RM 1000 free for those that invest Rm1000 within this year
for there is a RM 3000 income tax rebate.

are you in these 2 category?

If I invested rm1000 into PRS, PPA charge me RM10.60 for account opening and gst....

Do I still entitled for the RM1000 free from gov?

Asked my agent and she said she not sure, ask me wait and see😅

I think most people here who invested last year that entitled, is yet to received the incentive.

Till now I haven't received mine.

So i'm not sure whether the incentive is actually depleted or discontinued or other factors.

FAQs....
Q: If I invested RM1,000 and RM10 is charged as PPA fee, will I be eligible for the RM1,000 incentive?

A: Yes, the gross amount of RM1,000 will be taken.

Of course is worth to invest. You know why? Money put into PRS is still yours at the end of the day. Money paid as income tax no matter how little is kot yours anymore.

Use FSM MY or eunittrust. Of course to invest in PRS, one need to make sure the return can match risk free EPF rate.

Thanks for the reply,
I'm pretty new to all these funds thing and my main purpose is actually to get the gomen incentive & tax relief.
Thus I'm not sure which fund should i proceed with. Though I've seen previous post other forumers have been mentioning CIMB Asia Pacific Ex Japan Equity. biggrin.gif
Planning to get directly from the PPA website

If you get directly form them I think got charge. Use the 2 platform recommended. These few post said no more government incentive due to change in govt. Don't know when they will release the money.

I bought mine before change in govt so I got the incentive.

If it's of any help, I made my contribution around early August 2017 last year and I have not received any payment yet. So anyone who's interested, please 'invest' at your own risk, despite it being 'backed' by supposedly genuine authorities. Wonder what else can they say besides the boring' change of government' automated reply.

P.S. I'm not even 30 this year and I made the 1k lump sum contribution with one CIMB Principal PRS fund.

Aim for the 3k tax relief.. regarding the 1k incentive, I think the gov has run out of allocation and with reduce revenue due to 0% gst.. where got money to pay now. wait until SST being implemented..just my 2 cent..
