Acid, something just spark off my mind.. the proc and gpu when you reapply the thermal paste.. do it have a orangish film sticking on to it? Do you throw it away or just stick it back? hmm.gif

No Beats Solo (Headphone) is what I'm referring..

Beats Audio is referring
POI (point of interest) for all you dv6/7 owners out there. Beats Audio actually really only refers to the audio processing out the headphone jack. Straight from the horse's mouth I watched a youtube video of an HP Marketing manager characterize the beats audio as "from the headphone jack". Adding two extra speakers was just their throw-away...'sure lets toss that in' and isn't to be taken as part of the "Beats Audio" package. All of the HP beats audio promo lit and vids characterize it as coming from the headphone jack.

What you get
1. No metal parts for the audio jack reducing any grounding static
2. Isolated ground and L/R audio signal to increase fidelity ("to the headphone jack")
3. Isolated on-board "audio island" for audio processing to reduce background noise from the CPU, GPU, and other electrical noise.

Based on the article, I'm guessing that...

7690M = almost identical to the 6770M
7690M XT = Slight performance increase? Definitely better than the 6770M/7690M but not by much I guess.

When I get mine, I'll post clock speeds and whatnot la so... patience smile.gif
