Small backpacks are more practical. Which military machine carries gigantic feathers or angel wings? For aesthetic purposes or just to boost up the morale of friendly troops perhaps.

In the Gundam Universe Larger backpack means More Power, More Thruster, More Storage space, More firepower.

In our universe, They just look cool with those Wings and Large cannon at their backs.

Well 1 thing assure that Fukuda did admit the Seed is all about Mecha eye candy and not war/politics.

In the real world, a larger backpack will only make the mecha unstable. Having a large and heavy backpack will increase the height of the centre of gravity, hence a small knock at the lower limbs will send the mecha tumbling.

I still prefer mid sized backpacks, instead of gigantic ones like Freedom's WZ's and even Saviour's oversized cannons. F91's VSBR is so much shorter and compact compared to Saviour and even Oowashi Akatsuki's bulky toys at the back. Sure, they look cool, but imagine the pissed off faces of the battleship mechanics when the whole backpack takes up all the space in the hangar.

Even Destiny's WoL takes up much space compared to V2. And it is not any more powerful than the real thing. ... V2 kicks butt !!

here a part I find it very controvesial.. The Federation Crude means of docking MS... So far what i get is

Salamis: Store MS internal hull, Only when deploy then its place outside. Internal hanger facility unkhown.

Columbus: according to some source, Columbus is 1 of the only ship that have complete Hanger Facility.. ( assuming Collumbus will be more like to handle field repairs than MS deployment.

Magellan: From anime.. Complete facility.. The GM are store and deploy inside the Ship...

Destroy... It looks freaking weird, but OMG it is one hell of a WMD !!

The MA mode is just for fun, after all, most MS in GSD can transform. Destroy's MA mode looks really like a chicken walker with a UFO stuck on his head.

Too bad the WMD became YET another grunt that got chopped easily. If it appeared in the more realistic UC, a full platoon of 5, 6 Destroys would easily crush whatever enemies. Or at least put up a seriously good fight.

The Destroy.. Once the Destiny appears the Destroy is just nothing but cannon fodder.

actually, i also think that the design of Destroy got some problem...
i think the Freedom is the best among the Seed and Seed Destiny......

Just watched ep3 of IGLOO. Damn I thought Monique's gonna be the one who pilot Big Rang. And the way they launched Oggo-->WIN.

Dunno i just dont like Gundam design in Seed.. All the gundam look to alike...

But my favourite Seed mecha would still be the Aegis. It has badass written all over it, with the hidden chest cannon and the sotong mode. I wonder what will happen if Yzak got the Aegis instead of wishy washy Athrun.

We would have seen Aegis chopping and dicing enemies with the 4 beam sabres, while grabbing their heads with the sotong mode and blasting them smithereens!!

Total ownage.

Freedom = meh... Yeah I know a lot of fans love the design of Freedom, but I don't. Maybe it's because the way it was portrayed... I just hate god-mode.

By the way, I wonder why a lot of people say Justice is a melee unit. It doesn't have much melee weapons anyway. The original Justice, not IJ which looks like a hedgehog with spikes and sabres stuck all over it.

Meh... UC designs are much more realistic... hail F91... hail V2!! Now where is that guy who mentioned V2 sucked?

UC degisn FTW!!.. I love GP-01 design.. matther of fact i got a MG and MSIA of it. And proud of it.

Nu-Gundam looks cool also. The funnel system will put Strike Freedom to Shame.
