did they completely redid the whole voice acting part for the zeta trilogy?

the seiyuu's voices sounds "new/fresh" to me

not really villian, but usually the mask will be there for long series, Turn A have the butterfly bug mask though

IINM, the only seiyuu change for the trilogy was for Four Murasame's character. there was an uproar about it when they announced the new seiyuu

its so apparent that they used different seiyuus. the old footage and the new ones. compare them


zeta gundam was aired 7 months before i was born. back then, the animation r0x0r

what similarity with SEED? SEED was blatantly ripping off the UC plot lol

if any series was similar, the newer series should be the one that copies

Not all... Gundam X didn't have a masked villain. They had two annoying brothers though But they are still less annoying than the ever-shouting Garrod. Witz (spelling? the family-loving airmaster pilot) is much better....

Meanwhile.... something new for Astray??? It screams V2... ZOMFG... CE is so damn ripoff... Take an Eva body and limbs, slap on beam wings, add a gundam looking head and call it an Astray? Somebody please give me a tranquiliser...

Well... things are surely getting more and more cheesy with CE.... Yet another Strike with parangs... Astray with big mobile caravan.... Baddie Astray with bunny ears and giant crab claw.... When are they going to show a gundam that looks like the Space Whale in CE??

But I guess the beam wings will grow on me.... hopefully....

Meh, but what's with all the Dragoon that the new gundams have? When it was 1st introduced, dragoon system was unbeatable, because only one or two gundams have it, but now........

if all gundam has it, it creates more trafic jam is space

nope but but many of them does....weird why people like wearing mask so much....

char , msg - char wears a mask to hide his identity from the enemies in zeon
zechs, gundam wing- no idea why he wears the mask (didnt watch it yet) but for sure he got scolded by char in Shin/Neo Super robot wars for mimicking him
silver mask, gundam wing side story (manga only) - wore a mask to spy on the enemy
?? , turn a gundam- no idea also cause i havent wathc this yet
rau , g seed - used to cover his face cause of some weird disease
neo/mwu - gsd - i dunno wat's the mask for in this anime ( and it is pure BS that he actually surived a blast from a mothership's main cannon )

they were forced by circumstances to wear a mask, aside from the lst one.

oh almost forgot, the villian in f91 also comes in wearing a mask

reason ? almost forgot i think it has something to do with he have no face to face the people or maybe cause of the operation he did to make him a enhanced human? or i could be wrong

the reason for zech to wear mask is to hide his identity also.
im not going to spoil it more of it for the ones who havent watch them yet.

2 things.. 1 i think he sometime to do with his wife which made him lost his pride in the Ronah family. So he hide his shame in this mask and only remove it after he completed Babylon IV.

another is the mask host as a Psychomu so enchance his newtype ability.

Lol they must be a group of hardcore fans who really love the old seiiyus.

Maybe that the reason why Tomino decided not to bring Sayla back as her VA is dead. Replacing her would hurt the fan base.

Sayla had a cameo at the end of Zeta IIRC. I don't think it was a speaking part.. yes she just lived on earth.. that all.

Sayla's VA was the late You Inoue, who incidentally, also performed as the redoubtable Kanuka Clancy in Patlabor. I shall miss her voice
