havent dl any of d gundam shows u guys suggested cos of exams, but jus wanna say one thing, the reason gs n gsd is popular with ppl my age, 15-17, is bcos it is the only new gundam show that has come out within our generation, moreover it is in a new timeline, thus, easier to understand, n well, kids these days, jus want actionx10000supermecha fighting + up to date graphics n no philosophical stuff whtsevr(lazy to think ma........) so cant really blame ppl, kids n teens especially for calling gs n gsd as a super cuntet show. aniway, jus my thoughts............................................

The Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation movies is a trilogy, just like the First Gundam trilogy. And it is a summary of the 1985 series with some new stuff to abridge certain key events together in an uninterrupted flow.

Comparing this trilogy with the original TV series is very much like comparing Macross: DYRL with its original TV series version, so I assume you know what I mean by that. For beginners, the trilogy version fo Zeta is adequate enough, but purists will definitely go for the original series. But in my opinion, at this moment it's very difficult to find a perfectly-subbed version of the TV series; I found two fansubs so far, and both are still short from perfect in certain parts.

Zeta Gundam is a good example of a anime series that could bomb if the translation is not done properly, so right now I'd recommend TV-Nihon's fansub of the Zeta trilogy.

LOL, you're talking about the 16.63Gb 2xx-subbed version, right? Yeah, pretty hueg. And I think T-N's work on the first two movies were sufficient, given that they're the only group doing the subs for these movies.

I believe they will indeed sub the third one as well, as soon they get the DVD rip. I wish they'd try to sub the TV series version as well. Seems they have the aptitude to work on older anime. I'm happy downloading their subs of those old TransFormer anime...
