Anyway about the bench press, you should be able to bench press your body-weight in 3 months of training.

Meaning if you are 73kg, you should be able to flat bench 160lbs in 90 days of lifting.

Thanx.
Honestly, it may seem impressive, but it is NOT.
It's just normal progress that every drug free trainee who trains and eat right can easily have. Me on the other hand is genetically disadvantage (small boned skinny guy) thus that progress is not that great also.
Since you wanna see my progress, I'll definitely post in this thread to show you a Bodyweight/132lbs bench press achieved in 70++ days of training. And be sure to like the page for daily progress lolz.

Better go slow on the weights dude when you still don't have decent amount of muscle mass. Injuries will come often if you keep going heavy. smile.gif

I train exclusively in the 7~10 rep range. So I don't go really 'heavy' at all. Moreover I always leave 1 rep in the tank, never ever going to failure.
The last I did anything heavy was the 60KG squat test, which was also not my 1RM, rather like 3RM.... which I only did 1 rep.

My progression also is %1RM based with built in deload, so I cannot rush the progression also since NOT adding fixed weight each session/week.

Your progress is horrible. Are you really training for 1.5 years? I was squatting 132lbs @ 56KG after 19 days of lifting. Current max bench is ~115lbs @56KG only after 30 days of lifting.

Chill dude. I know that you have good progress but that doesn't mean that you get a free pass to talk to other forumers in a rather harsh way.

I'm just being upfront and telling/showing him what is normal progress. He should know what is normal. It's really bad if someone goes to gym for 1.5 years makes like 2 months progress, and when he ask the community no one points it out. It's better than saying "wow good job bro, nice progress, keep going!" and he does nothing to look into his bad training and keep spinning his wheels. At-least now he knows that something is wrong with his whole training.

It's like no one is allowed to give legit criticism in this forum.

I'm not sure how spewing off your bench and squats numbers and how far you have accomplished in whatever number of days you've started training can be considered as legit criticism.

Maybe an ego check? And for sure this is not the first time you've been told about it right? But yeah, you can do what you want.

I think thats not normal progress , that is very good progress .
Honestly if you think this journey is 2-3 months game , i feel very bad for you . Come back after 3 months and see whats the progress you're making dispite the heavy weight training you did . Progress on lifting stats is one thing , in the other hand progress on your own body is another thing . There's no point if you able to benchpress 1000kg but your body makes no progress .
Its not about lifting it self . So you want to say after 6months you would be able to benchpress twice your body ratio ? After 9months triple your body ratio and so on ?

Looking at your pictures , im not impress the progress your body is making like how i impress by looking at your stats . But i really adore your passion in this game . I hope you will keep going and don't stop lifting . You're gonna learn many things from this journey by yourself . Thank you for your motivation dude !

I'll be lifting for years to come, not 3 months. Bodybuilding is a marathon.

2x bodyweight bench is no joke, it takes 3 months to bench 1x bodyweight, but 3-4 YEARS+++ of serious dedicated training to bench 2x bodyweight.

I'm not sure how long you would like this issue to keep going on. Another 1 year and half? If not, you need to do something about it and yes, Armesh was right about your lifting progress.

Start from scratch:

1. What's your goal? Whatever it is, you need to have a a proper diet with proper calorie intake to achieve your goal.
2. What's your training program? Different training program will gives you different results. Find out what's your No. 1 and we can find a suitable training program for you.
3. Consistency is key.
4. To achieve great progress, you need to put efforts in it.
