the 500re is marketed as a set with acc , 10 re no acc...

which means 10re should be a bit cheaper, cos those acc doesn't cost bosh a lot to bundle wit the drill....

Buy the real stuff...impact drill with cord. Cordless are basically to screw on wall plugs only. Buy power and functionality. Can use to hang cabinets and shelves.

Just get the Bosch gab 10/500 re. Cheap and It do most of the job. Forget the cordless.

Be a real man.. Buy a rotary..

Unless he want make trunking, bore hole, chip concrete.

This 1 just want to screw something only.

Rotary with 3 function = Screw (Rotation Only) / Drill Hammer (Rotation with hammering) / Hammering only

Be it minor drill, screw small things or do small hole, rotary can do the job more than half time impact drill can do..

You never know when you need or anybody in your family need to use it and by that time how you wish you have rotary by your side.. Trust me..

BUT..

If budget is concern then better buy impact drill..

I know how usefull is rotary. But it depend you interest in diy or not. And how hardcore are you.

Base on where he stay, don't think he will demolish the whole wall down. Or going to lay some wiring. And he is just a beginner. If you advice him to begin with rotary, I think he will complain back here with the heavy drill. Start with the impact drill will be good enough.

After he kena poison, than can start with the rotary.

I got 3 choice recommend by seller in my hometown. Which one value for money and worth overall. Beside drill, I want use for screw furniture, all this model can use for small screw?
1. Bosch gsb 10re rm230
2. Maktec by makita rm235
3. Dongcheng dzj04 rm200

She recommend maktec & dongcheng over bosch because more powerful 710w vs 500w and can use up to 13mm screw size. Appreciate all input. Tq

But all are not suitable as a screwdriver. There are too powerfull to control. Specially the maktec 710w. For screwdriver, get the cordless.

That cordless driver is a bit limited use.

Get a cordless impact driver if you have many project. Easy and more power to drive many kind of screw for wood and wall.

Hi, which one better to drill concrete, it just for personal use. i dont know which one give more advantage for personal usage. is it GSB16RE too hard to use for beginner? what i can see it carry more power than GSB 1300. anything i should aware ?

What drill bits do you all use to drill tiles? Recently bought the diamond bit but it doesn't seem to last long. After drilling 3 holes, the teeth of the diamond bit has worn off and so was my RM25!
