The torque too strong to unsrew/screw, can break the screw. You need to know how to control.

Ok Thanks bro..

Hopefully I have soft finger to control the trigger..

Can't wait to DIY.. thumbup.gif

Hey guys, happy new year. smile.gif I just moved into a new condo. Quick ques, what's more suitable for minor wall drills e.g. hanging tv frame, photo frames, tv cabinet etc.

Impact drill vs rotary.
Cord vs cordless.

Need some tips. Thanks in advance!

Be a real man.. Buy a rotary.. brows.gif

Forget about cordless shakehead.gif

Unless he want make trunking, bore hole, chip concrete.

This 1 just want to screw something only.
*
Rotary with 3 function = Screw (Rotation Only) / Drill Hammer (Rotation with hammering) / Hammering only

Be it minor drill, screw small things or do small hole, rotary can do the job more than half time impact drill can do..

You never know when you need or anybody in your family need to use it and by that time how you wish you have rotary by your side.. Trust me..

BUT..

If budget is concern then better buy impact drill.. thumbup.gif

I know how usefull is rotary. But it depend you interest in diy or not. And how hardcore are you.

Base on where he stay, don't think he will demolish the whole wall down.  tongue.gif  Or going to lay some wiring. And he is just a beginner. If you advice him to begin with rotary, I think he will complain back here with the heavy drill. Start with the impact drill will be good enough.

After he kena poison, than can start with the rotary.

Oppss.. My bad.. Didnt see that he stay in Condo.. doh.gif

Thanks, will survey for it later. Seems in my budget range.  thumbup.gif

Concrete no problem la. Just can't drill bigger hole. And take longer time to drill.

Remember when I was using impact drill to drill my old house (previously build using hard red blocks) took me forever to drill a hole..!!

Change to rotary hammer and VOILA..!! notworthy.gif

Using smaller size Drill bit can be drill on concrete. Slower.
